The Sims 3 review

Make sure your computer is powerful enough to meet the standards of the game, if you want experience Sims 3 at it's fulliest.

I gave Mario Kart Wii a 6.5 for being too casual and too simple. This game is as casual as Mario Kart Wii, but not nearly as simple. That's why I give Sims 3 a 8.0,

I was greatly impressed by the little things this game has added, things like personality traits, customization of the Create a Sim, and the ability to alter the change and mood of the room by specifically changing the color tone of lights in the house.

However while the game does take a few steps forward, it does however take a few steps back. Unlike the Sims 2 where Sims physically open car doors, get in then drive out of the driveway. Unfortunately in The Sims 3 this has been replaced with the Sims going to the edge of the pavement and magically the car disappears from the drive on to the road and then the sims magically vanishes into the car.

There are many objects in the game to keep sims happy, however there does appear to be some standard objects which simmer might be used that are not in the game. Hot Tubs and pool tables, however EA has announced with Sim Points you can buy extra content for the game like more hair styles or clothes.

Overall The Sims 3 improves quite a bit on The Sims 2 and looks good, but it doesn't feel 100% complete in places

Finally the 3nd Generation of the Sims have arrived, having a chance to play Sims 3, I can see that an honest improvement in terms of graphics and play. With an open map, there is no worry about loading times when playing the game.
