Mexico Blocks U.S. Military Deportation Flight, Prevents Landing

In yet another defiant move against the new Trump administration, Mexico refuses to accept a U.S. deportation flight and prevented it from landing on Thursday. This raised serious concerns about border security and international cooperation despite saying it would cooperate with the new administration. While the Biden administration pushed for more lenient immigration policies up until the day former President Joe Biden left office, President Donald Trump has refused to allow the United States to continue rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens. Mexico’s refusal underscores the challenges the U.S. faces in dealing with illegal immigration. Its response not only hinders the deportation process but also sends a troubling message about the lack of shared responsibility in addressing the crisis at our southern border.

According to NBC News, Mexico denied a U.S. military plane access to land, thwarting the Trump administration's efforts to deport illegal immigrants living in America back to their home country of Mexico. Two Air Force C-17s, each carrying roughly 80 deportees, flew to Guatemala, while the third flight to Mexico was grounded.

Neither the White House nor the Mexican Embassy responded to requests to comment.

This comes after President Donald Trump threatened to slap Mexico with a 25 percent increase in tariffs for refusing to stop its people from illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump’s actions serve as a retaliation effort for illegal immigration and “crime and drugs,” such as dangerous gangs and fentanyl that are coming into the U.S. across the border.

Mass Deportation Raids Have Begun in Los Angeles

We knew the mass deportations were going to begin right away, and it was likely that some of the targeted cities were going to leak to the press, though it was an open secret as to which urban enclave would be raided. In Los Angeles, it’s already begun with ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers. The illegals get detained, and military planes export them the hell out of our country. ATF, DEA, and the US Marshal Service have been granted deportation powers.

The Trump administration is utilizing a decades-old and, until recently, never invoked power that authorizes “willing state and local enforcement officers to carry out "any of the powers, privileges, or duties" of an immigration officer. Most states will likely sign onto this measure. The deportation force, one the liberals laughably said couldn’t be assembled, is being mobilized with gusto. Also, the other narrative, that we couldn’t find these illegals, is false. We are nabbing them left and right, and we have four years of continuous immigration enforcement to see the rest. They need to come up for air at some point. For now, the illegals in Los Angeles are being rounded up (via NY Post):

The Trump administration’s mass-deportation offensive expanded into Los Angeles Saturday with pre-dawn roundups, part of a West Coast operation expected to run seven days a week, sources told The Post.

Immigration agents avoided sections of the city suffering the most damage from the devastating wildfires burning through parts of Southern California, the sources noted.

[…]

Details of the LA raids were scarce as of Saturday afternoon, but sources said migrants rounded up there were being held in ICE detention centers in California pending deportation.

Officials are expecting the sites to fill up quickly, and the feds are scouting for more space to hold migrants, the sources said.

ICE agents were also spotted in West New York, NJ, cuffing an unidentified Hispanic male and putting him in a van without asking questions, the Hudson Post reported

[…]

ICE on Friday reported arresting 593 criminals in the U.S. illegally and lodging 449 “detainer” requests with local authorities, asking them to turn over migrants targeted for deportation.

[…]

Federal immigration agents have been rounding up hundreds of other migrant criminals daily since Trump took office Monday.

Other arrests include a slew of pedophiles, drug traffickers and gang members and a suspected terrorist in New York.

All I can say is adios.

For the federal agents involved, happy hunting.

America Awakes From Its Coma

Have you noticed during this transition, from the Nov. 5 election to the inauguration of Jan. 20, there’s been a whole change of mentality from the trivial to the existential? We can’t quite believe that. Mika and Joe Scarborough made a religious journey, as it is, to Mar-a-Lago.

Snoop Dogg once cut a film about shooting Donald Trump. Now he has endorsed him. And that is true all over the media. They just fired the head of MSNBC. Now we also learn these disclosures. Why now? Why now? Why did we suddenly learn from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times that Joe Biden had had cognitive decline all these years, in which to point that out was blasphemy?

Remember Peter Daszak? He was in EcoHealth. He was the one who engaged in forbidden gain-of-function viral research. He was getting money from the NIH [National Institutes of Health], transferring it to the Wuhan laboratory. But, even to say that was considered heresy. And now all of a sudden, we hear we were right all along. All of you were.

That there was gain-of-function research. That we did have a role in the Wuhan lab. And guess what? Peter Daszak is barred now for five years from receiving one dime of federal health care. How about the FBI? They stonewalled, stonewalled, stonewalled. All of a sudden—suddenly, out of the head of Zeus—they tell us they’re going to abandon, abolish, get rid of their diversity, equity, and inclusion department.

And finally, Christopher Wray, in his last address to us, says, well, there are cabals of Chinese espionage activists and they’re in sensitive places. We have to be careful. Why didn’t he tell us that two years ago? Why all of a sudden is Mr. [Justin] Trudeau stepping down? Why did the Assad dynasty collapse? Why does Hamas want to negotiate?

It’s eerie. We’ve never seen anything like it. Why did Joe Biden suddenly abdicate? He’s kind of abdicated from power. Donald Trump is the de facto—and he has been for weeks—president. We’ve never seen anything like it. The obvious answer is, the king is dead. Long live the king. People gravitate toward power, especially when power is expressed by winning the popular vote, the Electoral College, having control of the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, and having issues that all polled over 55% to 60%. It was a mandate. And everybody wants to be on the winning side, in the sense, you root for your football team when it’s 10 and zero, and you don’t go to the stadium when it’s zero and 10.

There’s another criteria here and that is, a lot of people, as they look back, see that what they did to Donald Trump—the lawfare, the Alvin Bragg, the Fani Willis, the Jack Smith, the Letitia James, the E. Jean Carroll, civil and criminal suits—they really were an aberration. They were a miscarriage of justice.

And when they’re compounded with the two prior impeachments, the trial of Donald Trump as a private citizen, the effort to get him off the ballot, the raid at Mar-a-Lago—a lot of people on the left in the media, in the Democratic Party, in the liberal circle itself are thinking if we were Donald Trump and we had suffered what we did to him and we were in power now, we know what we would do: revenge.

So, they project that onto Donald Trump, and they try to reach out now, whether it’s the media settling defamation suits, or talk that even CBS will settle with Donald Trump. But I don’t think that necessarily explains all of this vast change of heart. This new mindset. I think people, as they look back, they think we were in a coma.

We were drugged. This was an aberration. Maybe it was the COVID lockdown. Maybe it was the George Floyd. Maybe it was the hatred of Donald Trump. Maybe—I don’t know what it was, but it was a four-year aberration. And now they’re coming to their senses and they’re thinking Joe Biden really was cognitively declined. A coup dismissed him.

That was abnormal. The border should be closed. There really are two main sexes, not three. Looting and shoplifting have to be crimes or society will not exist. What happened in Afghanistan, turning over $50 billion to terrorists, that’s not normal. That’s not the United States. Nor is putting “daylight” between us and Israel.

So, there’s a sense now that, Rip Van Winkle, like we’ve woken up. And Donald Trump wasn’t a monster. In fact, Donald Trump has commonsense answers to all the things of the last four years. So we’re looking back and we’re saying we were mad. And now there’s a commonsense corrective and we don’t really care if it’s Donald Trump or not, but we’re going to go with the corrective and return America to common sense.

America Awakes From Its Coma

Why Trump Threatens Davos

his is the week of the inauguration of Donald Trump, but it also coincides, not just with Martin Luther King’s birthday—on the same day as the inauguration, but also the meeting of the world’s elite at Davos, Switzerland, lorded over by 86-year-old Klaus Schwab, who, created this organization.

If you don’t know what Davos is, don’t worry about it. It’s not that important, in some ways. I mean, it’s not doing a lot of good for the rest of us.

But it is important because it has aspirations that are quite dangerous. Basically, its premise is that if we got together all of the “smart people”—those are people who have letters after their name, or they live in the right ZIP codes, or they’re wealthy, or they’re professors, or they’re key government officials—and we put them all in this beautiful, idyllic place, they can think up utopian dreams that then can be, from the top down, implemented by hoi polloi: the many.

The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you. Donate now

And they have actual disgust for elected governments because you see elected governments make mistakes. They elect people and then they do the wrong thing. They have these 19th-century borders. They believe in legal-only immigration. They don’t believe in redistribution of money. They believe in free market capitalism.

They are opposed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. And they don’t want to put mandates on corporations—ESG—about the environment and social questions and governance questions. They let the market adjudicate, which you can’t do.

Now the reason that they’re really angry this week is Donald Trump was elected in the United States. And he is a Jacksonian, populist, nationalist, who believes that the U.S. Constitution and the creation of this last great hope for Earth is unique and singular. And he trusts it and its Constitution more than he does these Davos international organizations, who, remember, are not elected by anybody. They’re appointed.

So, Donald Trump immediately got out of the International Criminal Court. This was an international body that, if implemented—in the case of the United States—fully, it would say that a major or colonel in the United States could be prosecuted if he issued an order that they felt was inhumane.

He got out of the World Health Organization. That was pretty much a Chinese-dominated world organization that functioned during the COVID crisis, largely, with the help of Anthony Fauci and Peter Daszak to suppress the truth that that virus was created in the Wuhan lab. May or may not have been a biological weapon. May or may not have escaped naturally by mistake. But in any case, Donald Trump poses the threat to the Davos crowd.

And more importantly, his threat, it is amplified because it works. People who have followed the model of Milton Friedman and free market economics in Europe, in Eastern Europe, in Argentina, and the United States are doing very well.

When the EU was created, its [gross domestic product] was almost—25 years ago—the same as the United States. And then it started to implement these Davos-like issues and laws and policy, and now it has almost a little more than half, half the GDP of the United States, and only about 60% of the per capita income.

So, the people at Davos know that their socialist, globalist model doesn’t work. And they know that people don’t want to listen to them anymore because when people adopt these views, their economy slows, they get poorer, their borders are overrun. Illegal immigrants come and cannot be assimilated or integrated. And the people feel they have less security, prosperity, and freedom.

Rather than addressing those concerns—and so having at Davos—why is Donald Trump being elected? Why was [Argentine President Javier] Milei? Maybe we can learn from these people because they represent elections and freedom.

No, it’s Donald Trump. How dare you say this? Milei is wrong. And so, they too, as I’ve said in an earlier broadcast, they have forgotten nothing and learned nothing.

Each year, Davos becomes more and more irrelevant. And the people who oppose them and put their trust in the people, in the U.S. Constitution, in freedom and individual liberty do better and better.

The Unhinged, Petty, and Vindictive Left

Donald Trump won the 2024 election in part because the Left’s hysterical style of attacking him no longer worked.

After a decade of this unhinged furor, it proved worthless in winning public support—and for two simple reasons.

One, after years of Russian collusion hoaxes, the laptop disinformation farce, and the warped lies about the “suckers” and “fine people on both sides,” the shrill Left became predictable.

The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you. Donate now

So, the bored public began tuning them out, switching channels, hitting the mute button, and pulling the plug.

Like the deleterious effects of inflation that eventually render a currency worthless, nonstop hectoring, hysterics, pontification, and distortion finally made all such criticisms of Trump mostly as valueless as 1930s German marks.

Second, the wearied public never heard reasoned counterarguments from the likes of a Rachel Maddow. Instead, on spec, she kept mouthing, “The walls are closing in” on Trump.

Now-former President Joe Biden did not explain why his open border was a better idea than Trump’s closed one. He preferred mumbling about “semi-fascists!” and the “ultra-MAGA!”

The Never Trumpers did not critique the Trump deficits. Instead, they hammered away that Trump was Adolf Hitler, or Benito Mussolini, or Vladimir Putin—or just a dangerous dictator or autocrat.

Angry retired generals never demonstrated why Trump was, in their view, an existential threat to democracy. Instead, they shouted nonstop in op-eds and interviews that he was a fascist, Nazi-like, no different from the guards at Auschwitz, a pathological liar, and should be summarily removed.

Worn-out voters began to understand that these psychodramas were substitutes for substantive criticism or occasions for legitimate debate.

Indeed, the exhausted public finally concluded that the hysterics increased in direct proportion to the poverty of the charges.

So, what did 10 years of such derangement achieve for the Left?

Trump now has control of the White House, and both houses of Congress operate under Republican majorities.

The Supreme Court is mostly conservative. Almost all of Trump’s issues—the border, immigration, the economy, foreign policy, and crime—poll well over 50%.

No matter, the Left is still hammering away at the trivial and irrelevant—and remains paralyzed in furor and hysterics.

When Snoop Dogg performed for the Trump inauguration, Ana Navarro of TV’s “The View,” in racist fashion, called the African American rapper “a trained seal.”

When Pete Hegseth went before a Senate committee for confirmation as secretary of defense nominee, Democrats asked almost nothing about nuclear strategy, recruitment shortfalls, or a paucity of artillery shells.

Instead, what followed were animated “gotcha” lectures about Hegseth’s prior adultery.

No sooner had Hegseth finished his successful audit than the Left rounded up his former sister-in-law, now divorced from his brother.

A hard-core Democrat, she confessed she wanted his nomination rejected. She further claimed—with no evidence—that she had “heard” from his ex-wife that Hegseth was a wifebeater.

His former wife immediately denied the charges. She pointed to their prior divorce settlement that recorded neither had ever lodged such a complaint against the other.

Next, the Left went after Elon Musk. Recently, he had finished an address by touching his heart and then extending his arm out to the crowd.

To the Left, that greeting now became proof of a “Nazi salute.”

Yet in no time, the internet cited photos of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, and Elizabeth Warren all extending their stiff arms out in identical fashion to Musk.

We were next told by critics that Trump was not technically president because he did not place his left hand on the Bible as he swore his presidential oath.

The Constitution, of course, demands no such act. But it does explicitly state that no religious test shall be required to hold public office.

During a National Prayer Service for newly sworn-in President Trump, the Episcopal bishop of Washington, D.C., Mariann Budde, hijacked the sermon. She rebuked Trump—sitting right in front of her—because he supposedly had portrayed illegal aliens and transgender children “in the harshest of lights.”

Budde later bragged that she had used the occasion to sandbag Trump with a “one-on-one conversation.”

She talked grandly of mercy, but not of the thousands of Americans who have been physically assaulted or attacked by illegal aliens, or tens of thousands of deaths due to illegally imported fentanyl, or the unfairness of open borders to legal immigrant applicants, or the suffering of our citizen poor when their social services are overwhelmed by some 12 million illegal entries of the last four years.

In sum, the Left wants no debate because they know voters have rejected what they saw and suffered during the past four years of the Biden administration.

Forgetting nothing, learning nothing, like zombies, leftists keep screaming banalities. But like addicts and their feel-good fixes, their hysterics only further turn off the public as they destroy themselves.

What McConnell Did After the Hegseth Vote Is Infuriating

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had good qualities. He pushed through Trump’s judicial nominees during the first presidency, got his tax cuts passed, and is a noted legislative strategist and tactician. It doesn’t mean he always bats a thousand, but McConnell got key portions of the Trump agenda passed after the 2016 election. Now, he’s erased all that goodwill with this dastardly vote against Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense. McConnell’s defection, plus that of Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME), led to Vice President JD Vance performing his constitutional duty to break the tie.

Mitch McConnell just voted NO on President Trump’s secretary of defense nominee

This led to VP Vance having to rush down to cast a tie-breaking vote, only the 2nd such vote in U.S. history

McConnell explained his decision in a lengthy statement, but after he voted, he was caught frolicking with Senate Democrats:

In this cause, he…— John McCormack (@McCormackJohn) January 25, 2025

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, issued the following statement today on the nomination of Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense:

“The most consequential cabinet official in any Administration is the Secretary of Defense. In the face of the gravest threats to U.S. national security interests since World War II, this position is even more important today.

“Major adversaries are working closer together to undermine U.S. interests around the world. And America’s military capabilities and defense industrial capacity are increasingly insufficient to deter or prevail in major conflict with China or Russia, especially given the real risk of simultaneous challenges from other adversaries like Iran or North Korea.

“Stewardship of the United States Armed Forces, and of the complex bureaucracy that exists to support them, is a massive and solemn responsibility. At the gravest moments, under the weight of this public trust, even the most capable and well-qualified leaders to set foot in the Pentagon have done so with great humility – from George Marshall harnessing American enterprise and Atlantic allies for the Cold War, to Caspar Weinberger orchestrating the Reagan build-up, to Bob Gates earning the wartime trust of two Commanders-in-Chief, of both parties.

“Mere desire to be a ‘change agent’ is not enough to fill these shoes. And ‘dust on boots’ fails even to distinguish this nominee from multiple predecessors of the last decade. Nor is it a precondition for success. Secretaries with distinguished combat experience and time in the trenches have failed at the job.

“Effective management of nearly 3 million military and civilian personnel, an annual budget of nearly $1 trillion, and alliances and partnerships around the world is a daily test with staggering consequences for the security of the American people and our global interests.

“Mr. Hegseth has failed, as yet, to demonstrate that he will pass this test. But as he assumes office, the consequences of failure are as high as they have ever been.

“The United States faces coordinated aggression from adversaries bent on shattering the order underpinning American security and prosperity. In public comments and testimony before the Armed Services Committee, Mr. Hegseth did not reckon with this reality.

“President Trump has rightly called on NATO allies to spend more on our collective defense. But the nominee who would have been responsible for leading that effort wouldn’t even commit to growing America’s defense investment beyond the low bar set by the Biden Administration’s budget requests.

“In his testimony before the Committee, Mr. Hegseth provided no substantial observations on how to defend Taiwan or the Philippines against a Chinese attack, or even whether he believes the United States should do so. He failed, for that matter, to articulate in any detail a strategic vision for dealing with the gravest long-term threat emanating from the PRC.

“Absent, too, was any substantive discussion of countering our adversaries’ alignment with deeper alliance relationships and more extensive defense industrial cooperation of our own.

“This, of course, is due to change. As the 29th Secretary of Defense, Mr. Hegseth will be immediately tested by ongoing conflicts caused by Russian aggression in Europe and Iranian-backed terror in the Middle East. He will have to grapple with an unfinished FY25 appropriations process that – without his intervention – risks further harming the readiness of our forces.

“By all accounts, brave young men and women join the military with the understanding that it is a meritocracy. This precious trust endures only as long as lawful civilian leadership upholds what must be a firewall between servicemembers and politics. The Biden Administration failed at this fundamental task. But the restoration of ‘warrior culture’ will not come from trading one set of culture warriors for another.

“The single most important way for Secretary Hegseth to demonstrate his professed devotion to America’s warfighters will be to equip them – urgently – to deter aggression… and rebuild the defense industrial capacity to restock the depleted arsenal of democracy. In this cause, he will find willing partners on the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, which will expect and receive his candid testimony.

“I wish Secretary Hegseth great success, and I look forward to working closely with him to restore American hard power. Every member of the uniformed services will be looking to him for decisive, principled, and nonpartisan leadership.”

Crazy Taxi 2

Hitmaker/Sega 2001

5/5

08/01/2001

Hitmaker made up its second game that exclusive to Dreamcast (Craxi Taxi One went to PS2 remember.) From the first Crazy Taxi to Crazy Taxi 2, the game stayed the same. Thats a good thing because the prequel was the most played arcade ports released in the present in the United States. What made Crazy Taxi 2 so playable is that the cusomer’s yelled at you for alease anything you did wrong like they weren’t stupid. If you messed up they tell you that. Like “Fool you almost killed me! — Bring me the to Burger King.” The second addition to the series takes 4 new cab drivers in New York City. The new game plays songs from the band Offspring and tends to be more “slangish.” But over all the game is the same fun picking people up with 2 new maps to drive around in.

The good. – Improved Graphic quality, “the crazy jump”, how realistic people in the game talk – hehehe; Some of the sound track (rather it be the non-vocal version of Offspring.

The bad – the adult language – don’t need to hear that much while I’m driving.

Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Team 2001

5/5

07/01/2001 v1.0

I played this game for a while and the graphics are really good. Its like a step down from the Playstation 2. Every character has a darker effect to it and the game plays modern music like for Knuckles, its rap in Pumpkin Canyon. The game has game play like the original but is has more pre-rendered cut scenes and huge levels that make but for the adventure style game in Sonic Adventure. Sonic is one of those “want to be cool” characters, he’s not quite there. Unlike the original the script is a little more realistic, characters tend to interrupt each other. The game is pretty long. Also you can play separate levels for your pleasure.

One other thing I like is that you get to interact with your chaos like a pet in the game. You can pet it, feed it, enter it in a race, scold it you can do a lot of things with a chaos.

The good: huge levels to race down; Sonic, beautiful textures; the way the game has the feeling that its trying to be cool without over doing it, positively; chaos interacting.

The bad: voice acting; memory card usage

Air Force Delta

Konami 1999

3/5

07/01/2001 v 1.0

This game is a fighter pilot game. The game stands but, even though it was made by Konami. The backgrounds are smooth and the game has good frame-rate. The graphics in the game are reasonably good. The lock-on system works like a charm and stalling is realistic. (Always increase your speed when turning, I killed myself that other way. 😉 Normal mode is kind of easy expect when you get half way through, then it’s a little tricky to master. The game has hard too. Which is extremely hard. In this game I like to beat it once and play the missions independently. Each mission lasts for 10 minutes on average. I would recommended it.

The good: being able to be one; cold war effect

The bad: graphics could be a little better; wrong soundtrack; stalling

Crazy Taxi

Hit maker 2000

4/5

07/01/2001 v 1.0

Crazy Taxi came from the Arcade. The game is attractive. Your in a taxi cab and you race around with customers and drive them to there destination as quick as possible. The game recognizable vechals that exists. The best invention of the Dreamcast is the idea of the driving triggers. Right trigger for driving, left to brake, best idea since the joystick, I think. Even though the game has 2 cities to play, the game is perfect for the impatient gamer, which is me.

The good: crashing into cars, having the passenger getting mad and jumping out; originality

The bad: only 2 levels

Resident Evil: Code Veronica

Capcom 2000

5/5

07/01/2001 v1.0

Would you ever believe that the Umbrella Corporation (zombie creators) was developed by a 10 yr old genius whose name is Veronica? Never would of guessed it. If you haven’t heard, Resident Evil is a respected horror pre-rendered game made by those dudes at Capcom. The game is not for the inpatient gamer, it requires thinking and backtracking and shooting zombies. You be mature to play game, ok.  There is a lot of blood and guts in this game so don’t leave this game in the DC for your 6 year old to find out. But its fun for 17 years olds if your parents don’t care. The game is very, very long. I bad, I never got through the first disc and been playing the darn thing for 3 months.  Over all the game play is good with the exception when you walk the character through a still screen. Highly recommended.

The good: Shooting stuff; power ups; cut scenes; knowing what to do

The bad: The fact that Capcom hasn’t came up with it earlier.

Soul Caliber

Namco 1999

5/5

07/01/2001 v.1.0

Awesome fighter. The game is based on anime characters, laugh out loud man. The game has many characters to chose from, I think the women are cute. The game hands down, has the best combat system of any fighting game, ever. The left trigger is always block. The AI can be extremely good. Its not eh you hit me I’m dead, it competes with how well you play the game – and averages out the difference. The game itself is based on the Arcade by Namco. It’s so good that Namco is putting it in its own franchise.  It was also had the best graphics of 1999.  It is also a highly recommend game for Dreamcast.

The good: cute characters, great combat system; awesome music; realistic sound effects; very strong game play

The bad: Wasn’t released on a later system also.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape

Uri Soft France 2000

4/5

07/01/2001

Rayman 2 is a 3D sequel to Rayman. Good game. In the game you play a character with no arms or legs this a head, stomach and feet. The game has cool characters, that you would see in Super Mario or Banjo and Kazooie for the Nintendo 64. The game is kinda hard to beat. It requires a lot of climbing, running and shooting on Raymans part. One thing about this game is that Uri Soft totally redesigned the game for the Dreamcast, at the time the console had the best lighting effects around. The game has solid gameplay and a solid story. I like it. There are times when the game gets way to childish though, but you kinda respect that in a way.

The good: huge levels, good graphics, solid gameplay; clean textures; not too long, but not short by all means.

The bad:sometimes the level gets harder in the middle and if you quit you start all over with that level. If you don’t have a memory card I would feel sorry for yeah.

Daytona USA for Dreamcast

Gecki /Hasbro Interactive 2001

4/5

07/01/2001

The game is a remake of the arcade released back in 1994. Daytona USA is well designed. The game has three times as more tracks to race then Saturn. The game includes an enhanced music of Daytona and Gonna ride. Hasbro makes the cars longer. The game highly resembles the original that leads up to this day of age.  The game is not based on drifts but when to brake and when to accelerate. My favorite track is Ryn Ryn Rank. Also not seen in the Saturn version is a full replay that looks like Electronic Arts Nascar series. Over all I think the game since its all been seen before, would not be the best buy, but a enjoyable remake of an arcade classic.

The good: more levels; good gameplay; Nascar on Dreamcast; good AI

The bad:  too futuristic for its own good.

Resident Evil 2

Capcom 1997, 2000

4/5

07/01/2001

A game that comes very close to Code Veronica. The game takes place where the last one took off in Raccoon city. In 1997 Sega had a debate whether to bring the sequel to the Saturn, even though I own both consoles, I’m glad they didn’t. It’s a very good game. The game has noticeable improvements from the Playstation game. Like all the Resident Evil games you backtrack, shoot zombies. But what make it so good was some people thought that the game was kind of past stuff until Sega released it. In the game you try to find a way out of the Raccoon city which was developed by the Umbrella Corp because they were already there. You play James who meets up with Claire who has her own game in Code Veronica. Any way, they split up and meet each other discovering what’s left of the Umbrella’s attack force that as sent to destroy all the evidence. James who is a STARS member is located in Raccoon City.  And that’s what the entire game is basically about. Its fun though. This is also a recommended game

The good:Capcom did an exceptional job of porting RE2. Improvements over Playstation version like camera angles; shooting zombies

The bad: Capcom didn’t add to the story; trying to walk on a still screen. Dieing.

Test Drive: Le Mans

Infrogrames 2000

5/5

07/01/2001

Driving is really realistic. Graphics are comparable to those of PS2.  Le Mans has 4 large tracks that take you 5 miles around for each one. The game has a loading time but also has smooth frame rate. The cars include Chrysler, BMW, Duncan International, and some other man made racing cars. The replay timing and angles are real time angles. The controls are that you use A and X for gearing up and down and L and R triggers for acceleration and braking.   Overall the game is ultra cool. But is best when there are 2 players one on one. Overall the game his one of the best lighting effects on the Dreamcast that pushes the hardware to the limit.

The good: Le Mans car series, ghost mode, replay, solid controls, long detailed tracks, auto body customization.

The bad: graphics are starting to be outdated, freezing, loading time.

F355 Challenge

Acclaim 2000

4½ / 5

07/01/2001

This is also a really good racing game if you like realism. The entire game has Ferrari tracks. The game has good lighting effects, not as good as Le Mans but pretty close. The game has solid game play where you have to either gear down or brake hard and lose your place out of 5. The game has 5 tracks plus 4 secret tracks that aren’t that small. With all the handicaps off like power everything, the driving can be extremely hard for the average gamer, me. Sound tracks have rock on them. I don’t mind it though, its like Harley Davidson music.

The good:  car actually loses its place when you slow down, awesome music and graphics. Good game-play

The bad:    sometime freezes

Aero Wings 2: Air Strike

CRI 2000

3/5

07/02/2001

If you take the three flight simulators on the Dreamcast, AW2 would be your best pick. The game has combat and stunt flights. Even though you don’t get to chose as many planes as in Air Force Delta, you’ll find that this game doesn’t need all those speedy planes to past. The game play equals that of Air Force Delta since the prequel wasn’t that good.  It has a fairly descent 2-player mode that you and your friends to dogfight. You can do barrel rolls and back loops to out smart the enemy. In this game if you make that small error it could cost you the game. There is a training mode on how to plan and maneuver your plane. Over all its what is expected from a flight simulation, I liked it, even though it isn’t to be played all the time. Good Control, realistic altitude conditions, and smart enemies.

The good:  most realistic fighter on the Dreamcast; maneuver capacities not seen on any other game

The bad:    takes time to know what to do; a little difficult

Speed Devils

Uri Soft 1999

4/5

07/02/2001

Speed Devils is one of the best racing game of any of the launch titles besides maybe Sega Rally 2. The game is based on hot rod racing. Each car has a different feel to it, some looser then others. The game itself has a unique feel to it as you go through Area 51, Hollywood, Canada, Oklahoma , places like that. There is options that let you make it a timed race. In each race there are about 2 or 3 shortcuts each boo bee trapped. In the game there are also power ups like better acceleration or speed, all terrain tires. Overall the game design is an A but it takes an experienced player to make it through.  The game isn’t as commanding as F355 Challenge and Le-Mans. The game is fun to play for your spare 10 minutes. But if you play more then that you may get a little tired of it.

The good:   the street racing part of it, many options.

The bad:     if your behind you’ll never take 1st, and if you push it, it usually means bad luck for you.

Skies of Arcadia

Overworks 2000

4/5

07/02/2001

This is the Final Fantasy of Dreamcast, the Role Playing Game. The game is very long and spreads across 2 discs. The game is based on fantasy tale where a young girl gets stole by the Empress Arcadia and two rouges go after her and there friends that have mean caught hiding on an island by the Royal army. Cool eh. The 2 rouges eventually save there family that was captured and they eventually take over the empire, I think. The combat system is pretty well organized since RPGs’ aren’t Sega’s specialty. The game is in 3rdperson. But when this game isn’t the only RPG around, it tends to be un welcomed and sat aside.  But the backgrounds are well oriented and gameplay is very good, in the future this game would be a gem to have.

The good: good artwork, story, battle system, made for the teenage gamer; the choose system (one decision can change the way people view you)

The Bad:  single player; the need to continually save the game, if you don’t have the health you might as well start all over because it wont matter.

Street Fighter Alpha 3

Capcom 1999, 2000

5/5

07/02/2001

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is the better 2D fighting game, at least its very good. What makes it so good is that it has the screens move you in the game and not this put you there like your actually after world conquest. The baron  and the rye and jo are back to kick butt. The animations are fluid as any other fighter. The game has over 20 locations and 40 characters most of them are lock into the game. Like all Capcom fighters, there are no blood and lots of anime characters. In my option the game is the longest worked on fighter by Capcom on Dreamcast. The game is very detailed and has moving backgrounds, instantaneously. This game is defiantly one to own.

The good: fluid motions, there is a point to the game; good everything

The bad: graphics outdated

Dead or Alive 2

Tecmo Games 2000

4/5

07/02/2001

This is a very unique game since it the characters are pretty life like. Its also the only game that Tecmo produces. The music in the game is based on Japanese rock, I guess. Every time is in Japanese. What makes this game stand out is that the characters have totally different ways of fighting. One might do a body slam wrestling (what Japanese think of us Americans) and another may be doing judo. One of the character’s breasts jiggle a bit, I find that interesting. Any way the moves are basic enough, though there are combos when you are near your competer. Like Soul Caliber it has the right stuff to be a 3D Fighter. One plus is that you get to through characters of edges. That’s fun. What isn’t fun is when you get thrown off. The game has every thing that other 3D fighters have. Survival, VS mode, Arcade, Team Match, and some others I don’t know on top of my head. Even though Soul Caliber is the bomb, DOA2 is a welcome addition to my library.

The good: Great Graphics; woman; solid fighting; beating the boss with wings

The bad: spoke in Japanese; ugly defense system for amateurs

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater

Neversoft/Crave 2000

4/5

07/02/2001

I hear that a lot of people like this game, but I not really interested in it even though I own it. Basicly you have the top skaters in the world jumping the ramps, riding rails, doing 360s and 580s and ‘side airs’ which made the game really popular. The game is fine, it has solid graphics and control but your on a skate board all the time. And have you  even ran away from Officer Dick. He skateboards too you know.  The game has goals that are challenging but you can avoid it, that’s a good thing.  The game is solid in every way, but I this don’t like skating. But if you like skating, this is the game to buy.

The good: realistic courses; very solid game play; challenging but avoidable requirements

The bad: in my option I’m not a stake board fan, and I think that the game is over rated a bit.

Hydro Thunder

Midway 1999

3/5

07/03/2001

The Dreamcast title Hydro Thunder has everything from the arcade plus 4 bonus tracks and 4 hovercrafts. What made the arcade title so fun was that Midway didn’t waste any energy making this really fast. The game has power ups to gain position.  Each race lasts 3 to 4 minutes. Each vehicle has tighter or looser steering which is made up with faster speeds. On your first time playing you’ll may get 4th or 5thplace because some of the power ups are hidden and need to play a few times to find where they are.  Each time you place gold in each stage (beginner, medium, hard) you will receive a new environment and vehicle. Over all this game is fun to play a couple times but you might get tired of it if  you play it all the time. It’s good for a 10 or 20 minute game.

The good: good pace racer, the arcade sounds, decent AI

The bad: sometime freezes after 3 or 4 races.

F1 World Championship

Videogames 2000

4/5

07/03/2001

If you want a good all around Indy car game, this one would be it.  I played it, it is very good. One reason is that the game uses real Formula One tracks across the world. The game has a good AI, that will leave you in the dust if your not careful. Braking and then accelerating after turns in by far the most important. As you slow up the car becomes easier to handle this like the real thing. That’s the best. One drawback that the game has is that the backgrounds could be a little sharper, but the game for what it is has a stable frame rate. The game runs after the 1998 season and comes with over 20 vehicles and 40 drivers. And also every F1 track internationally.   The champions mode lets you play the whole season in order, one that I haven’t tried before. Over all the F1 World Championship is a very ‘slick’ racer.

The good: Tight control, many tracks, options for power braking and acceleration, nice intro, fans cheering, decent music, good frame rate.

The bad:    saving is questionable

my pressenter homepage Nintendo 64 reviews off the wayback machine

4 – Fun to play for a little while

3 – needs improvement

2 – rental

1 – don’t review these games

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Legend of Zelda is good. What the best about it is that it has not only has simple controls Z to block and A to attack. I has a simple battle system with a cursor on the enemy. Though after a while I loss some interest, and I could always come back later. The game is huge, maybe not as much as it’s sequel but as big as Turok 2 I would imagen. In the game you play Link, an adventurer “half-elf,” (half human) who had a dream of the Princess Zelda kidnapped by an evil sorcessor and figure out the next day that you were summoned by the Deca Tree.

Rating – 4/5

Developer Nintendo | Publisher Nintendo esp. 1998

The Pros. Very huge game, slingshot, talking; 3D transition excellence; detailed – not too detailed though.

The Cons. Sometimes I can get overwhelmed by fighting enemies too long.

Banjo and Kazooie

Banjo and Kazooie is good platform that simple and innertaining. The game was also RAREs first game of this type which is petty large about as much as Zelda 64. The backgrounds are blurred out, but looks overall petty nice, almost like Dreamcast ~ almost. In the game you have to search for puzzle pieces that let you in curtain areas. In all there are 10 levels that you search for. Much like Mario 64, each level has quests like when you get 100 gems or reach a current point you will almost always get a reward. Like most other games that are based on finding items you may find yourself bored running around searching for skulls (power-ups 5+). zin ten or years or so you this game could still be a gem on the N64 if you can find it, and even though its aimed at a younger audience, the oppicals vary in a good way.

Rating 4 – 5

Developer – Rare 1998 | Publisher – Nintendo

The Pros – 10 hours + gameplay, not agerveting

The Cons – takes a lot out of your joystick

Mario Kart 64

Mario Kart is one of my favorite games. Its easy to beat and the races don’t take that long. And I don’t know about you, but racing in the mushroom cartoonish world that Mario usually exist sort of takes me back to the Super Falcom. And people didn’t buy a new console with flashy graphics every 2 years.

Rating 5 -5

Developer RAD1 1996 | Publisher: Nintendo

The Pros – solid game play with awesome weapon system

The Cons – characters are not grown up yet.

Golden Eye

This was my very first person shooter ~ before I had Diablo for the PC. :). The game uses the original movie made in the 1960s with the new James Bond. I remember back then how lifelike the soldiers moved and the how realistic the AI is. Although the enemy put up a good fight before even if you cant see them, the way the soldiers move don’t really amaze me, I seen Perfect Dark you know. But its funny how you can shoot these guys in the balls and they crouch like sissies and then they fire and you shoot them again and they repeat them selves. My god. At the time, hard core gamers where buying consoles this to play the game mostly because the multi player mode was ahead of its time. I mean N64 had four controller ports and scattered ammo in very large areas. The internet wasn’t very good back them and this way you could hunt down your friends by the radar. Gadical.

Rating 5 – 5

Developer: Rare 1997 | Publisher: Nintendo

The Pros – solid gameplay, verses heaven, 20 single player stages.

The Cons – graphically outdated.

Super Mario 64

Even though I never finished the game yet, Mario 64 had merit to it to say the least. Nintendo made the game so compact at the time that they oven tally released larger carts anyways. Its amazing but Nintendo spent 3 years putting the game together. At the time I thought the browser theme was “heavy Music” Much of the game is based on 5 stages in 15 levels. One thing that was a breakthrough in these game was the MIDI music and how it added to the background theme. Its interesting what the sequel will sound like on Gamecube and I’m not talking about Luigi’s Mansion. The game-play and graphics were state-of-the art in 1996 but the game it self, people thought strayed away from the original world Mario played in. In the game you try to save Princess Toadstool (Peach) from Browser. You had to get 75 stars to finish the game. By trying different maneuvers to get form place to place obviously. In my option, SM64 is a must buy for the console.

Rating 4-5

Developer RAD1 1996 | Publisher: Nintendo

The Pros – seeing Mario in 3D, solid gameplay, return of the “marshon men” hehehe

The cons – basic errors that made up a 3D game, unrecognizable at the time

Extreme-G

Extreme-G is pretty fun except for the visablity which isn’t that good. The game is a fast paced shoot em up game surrounding high-tech combat cycles of the future. Sadly the first Extreme-G was a quick developed game from Acclaim. The game has protential which the 3rd one already has. But the first can be fun if you get the turns and being able to use the right trigger. Other then that the game has good Artificial Intellegence and plenty of tracks. Even there is a techno theme to move the game along.

Rating 3-5

Developer : Probe | Publisher : Acclaim

The Pros – AI, variety of weapons. nice fast pace shooter/racing game, good controls

The Cons – mediocre graphics (I can’t see where I’m going half of the time)

CNN's Scott Jennings Was Left Speechless By the Insanity of This Ex-Kamala Staffer

CNN’s Scott Jennings was stunned that Joe Biden said that the nation was threatened by misinformation and that lies are being told to enhance power or increase profits. This man is shameless since that’s precisely the modus operandi of the Biden crime family. Jennings sparred with former Kamala Harris aide Ashley Etienne, though he didn’t have to do much since virtually all her talking points were lies. The whole segment was the seat of irony, given the panel's topic on January 15.

Etienne seemed to make the argument that Donald Trump’s remarks induced COVID to kill people, which is insane. Also, using COVID to attack the first Trump presidency is largely ineffective since Anthony Fauci and the entire medical establishment have been exposed for lying about the disease. Etienne tried to make the case that Trump’s lies had a top-down effect regarding containment. False—Trump gave us the vaccine, which is another story. But for those who want to manufacture the false narrative that Trump’s COVID protocols led to all the deaths, that’s simply fantasy. She also repeated the debunked lie about drinking bleach—it left Jennings paralyzed due to how degraded the conversation had become.

“This is crazy. I’m sorry, this is insane,” he said.

Biden is the wizard of lies, and CNN, Mr. Jennings excluded, is a factory for falsehoods. A couple of days later, the network was found liable for defaming a Navy veteran who they singled out was exploiting Afghans trying to flee the country in 2021 when the Taliban took over the country again. They were ordered to pay millions to Zachary Young. So, lies and misinformation seem to be a liberal media and a liberal America problem writ large.
