If you take an oath to protect and serve, and you end up outside of a schoolhouse with some gender freak psycho inside shooting kids, you face a stark choice. You can go in and kill the daughter of a bitch – there’s no gender insanity indulgence due this scumbag – or you can stay outside like a coward, a sissy, or an Uvalde cop. This week we saw, thanks to stunning body cam footage, that courage is not dead in America.
Words like “courage” today are almost a laugh line among our alleged betters, a relic of some bygone era, like “honor” and “normality.” The concept of someone sacrificing for another, of putting everything on the line just because he promised to do so and because he could not bear the thought of failing to keep his word is alien to our supposed best and brightest. What did those police officers have to gain from confronting the gunwoman? Maybe a round in the face. But you can watch the footage yourself. They did not hesitate. They did not dither. They went inside a building with a murderer intent on blowing their brains out. They had no idea where she was – she could have ambushed them. You saw them initially clearing each room systematically and moving forward as fast as they could. And then they heard the shots upstairs and they ran – not to safety, not to cover, but to the sound of the gun.
They crossed over the body of a dead child on the way, a graphic reminder of what could happen to them, but an even more graphic reminder that if they failed it would happen to other kids. No one made them do it. No one made them press the attack. Like that pathetic neuter cop cowering outside the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas School or the band of fearful flatfoots at Uvalde, they had the option to save themselves.
They chose to save the kids.
And when they rounded that corner and the killer came into view, they acted without hesitation and shot her to pieces.
Good riddance.
That is the fate that all such semi-human monsters deserve – to die hard and ugly in a hail of bullets. I will not mention the creature’s name – it deserves to be forgotten.
But the heroism of the cops deserves to be remembered and emulated – by you, by me, by all of us. They set the standard. And the rest of us citizens can meet it.
This murder spree has already faded from the regime media because some trans weirdo butchering little Christian kids does not help the narrative designed to disarm and disenfranchise normal citizens. Nor does the image of armed Americans confronting and killing the criminal. The regime media hates the idea of good guys with guns, because that presumes agency and courage among Americans and they want to stomp that out, so they will differentiate cops and the rest of us. Our would-be oppressors argue that we civilian citizens cannot rise to the occasion, that we are unfit to bear arms to do what those officers did. They argue that bravery is reserved for special people in uniforms. They claim you could never do that and that you should not even try. But this is a lie designed to keep you from being the hero every American can be.
Courage is not the preserve of a few select individuals but the birthright of all of us. Courage still lives in the hearts of normal Americans. We saw it on 9/11 when cops and firemen ran into the burning towers while normal citizens helped others escape, and when normal Americans took down Flight 93 rather than let the jihadi jerks run up their score. We see it in our troops – understand that in Kabul, those Marines and the soldier who died went right up to unsearched Afghan civilians because the senior civilian and military leadership had failed to build the infrastructure that could protect them. But our troops did not hesitate even though a bomber was a looming threat. Thirteen died.
And we see it when normal Americans carrying concealed drop killers and thugs. We see that more and more as more and more Americans accept the duty to carry concealed. We saw it this week in Nashville.
But our elite does not want a nation of heroes. It wants a nation of SSRI-zonked Tik Tok addicts lounging on their couches and accepting the narrative that they are worthless. The regime ensures that realistic tales of courage and victory are never told in our media or in the schools. Instead, it’s all woke crap and pedo perversions designed to turn our young people into broken, alienated, and obedient serfs. But our young people have such residual strength of character that it does not always work. Those troops in Kabul came from our broken society, yet they had courage and honor. The young officers in Nashville came from our sick society and had courage and honor. It will take more than the puny DEI/CRT indoctrination of blue-haired weirdo teachers and movies about how the USA sucks to wring the bravery from the American soul.
Most of us will never have to face the choice those Nashville police officers made. Hell, I deployed overseas and at home multiple times and my biggest challenge was particularly dirty trucks. But one thing is clear. We all have the potential for greatness, the ability to choose to rise to the occasion and to act with courage and honor when the Schiff hits the fan.
Understand that you are the heir to America’s legacy of heroes, whether your family has been here since the Mayflower or since Monday. We are the people who bashed in the Brits’ bad teeth, who took Texas and California and conquered the West, who fought at San Juan Hill, Saint-Mihiel, Normandy, Iwo Jima, the Chosin Reservoir, Khe Sanh, and 73 Easting. Americans kick ass. We take names. That is your legacy.
Arm yourself. Become proficient with your weapons – at a minimum, you need a handgun, a long gun, and another handgun and long gun. Maybe more. Carry where and when you can. An armed population is the best deterrent of criminals and tyrants. And when deterrence fails, regulate as the law allows.
Never give up hope. The regime wants you weak and afraid, passive and broken. But you are an American. You are one of a people that hears shooting and heads that way, weapon in hand, ready to do what Americans do. Put the bastard down. Those cops in Nashville were unusual for one reason and one reason only – we saw their courage. Most of the time we do not, but we can all give thanks that it is there inside all true American’s hearts, undimmed, and undiminished, waiting for the moment that duty calls.

New Bill Would Criminalize ‘Abortion Trafficking’ of Minors
Legislation under review in Idaho would make it illegal for an adult to help a minor obtain an abortion without parental consent.
The measure, House Bill 242, would make it illegal for adults to obtain abortion pills for a minor and “recruiting, harboring, or transporting the pregnant minor” across state lines for an abortion. Those who break the law could face up to five years in prison (via the Associated Press):
The law would be the first of its kind in the U.S., where Republican-controlled states have been ramping up abortion bans and restrictions since the U.S. Supreme Court ended a nationwide right to access last year. Idaho is one of 13 states that already effectively ban abortion in all stages of pregnancy. It’s also one of a handful that already have laws that could penalize those who help people of any age obtain abortions.
State Rep. Kevin Andrus, a Republican, told the outlet that parents’ rights were the main focus of the bill.
“We want to make sure that parents have a say in the life choices of their children,” Andrus said. “It will do a lot to save lives.”
AP noted that among 47 states that reported abortion data to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2019, fewer than 9 percent were women ages 15 to 19 years old. In Idaho, specifically, about 1 in 8 people to obtain abortions in the state were minors.
“That kind of proposal is definitely something that states should be looking at,” Kelsey Pritchard, a spokesperson for pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, told the outlet. “Idaho’s kind of thinking ahead here.”
Last summer, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade, which gave women the right to obtain an abortion in 1973. After Roe fell, several states passed laws outlawing or restricting abortion. Women reportedly began traveling to other states to obtain the procedure. And, abortion pill access became the new battleground for pro-abortion advocates.
Learn the Lesson From Minnesota: Price Controls Don’t Work
In 2006, when Congress was negotiating the Medicare Modernization Act, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., proposed that a $41 per month cap be placed on premiums for Medicare Part D, the prescription drug benefit.
He worried insurers might offer a low entry rate, get customers hooked, as it were, then raise the rates to the point they were unaffordable. The proposal was rejected. Premiums opened at about $22 per month on average. Even today, 17 years later, they stand at about $32.
That has made Part D the rare government program that does its job for less than expected. Part D expenditures are down about a third from projections, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says nearly all those savings resulted from the clause in the Medicare Modernization Act that forbids the federal government from being involved in drug negotiations.
Americans have saved billions of dollars because a top limit price control was not enacted. Millions have been saved or given better quality of life by drug makers being incentivized to create new and better products rather than settle for a hefty payday from the government.
Lawmakers may not have learned the lesson behind what happened with Part D, but drug makers have. That’s why, in Minnesota, they are scrambling to influence the legislature to accomplish what Waxman could not and place a series of price restrictions on prescription drugs.
The proposal, HF 17 in the Minnesota House and SF 168 in the state Senate, is to create a seven-member Prescription Drug Affordability Board, appointed by the governor and leaders of the state House and Senate, along with an executive director and staff. It also calls for a 12-member Prescription Drug Affordability Council, appointed by the governor, to represent stakeholders, including patients, health care providers and, of course, pharmaceutical companies.
The Prescription Drug Affordability Board would review the prices of brand-name drugs, biologics, generic drugs and biosimilars based on the wholesale acquisition costs of those drugs within certain time periods or introductory prices. If the board determines a drug is priced too high, it would have the authority to set an upper limit at which insurance companies will have to pay, effectively disincentivizing pharmaceutical companies from ever trying to become more efficient or otherwise take action to lower the price.
Prices should not be based on wholesale acquisition costs, which essentially is a list price and does not come close to reflecting what patients actually pay for drugs after negotiations among pharmaceutical companies, pharmacy benefit managers, insurers and pharmacists. Locking in this higher price as the point of comparison will make Minnesota’s drug program significantly more expensive.
States spend more on health care than they do on higher education, roads, police or corrections. Only welfare payments and schools take bigger bites out of their budgets. So it’s doubly puzzling why Minnesota’s legislature would want to create a two-headed bureaucratic monster that will only make its third-leading expenditure more expensive.
Unless, that is, one considers who supports this measure. State Rep. Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn, who led the hearing on the legislation in the House Commerce Committee, is the wife of Rory Witthuhn, senior director of actuarial consulting at United Health Group, one of the state’s largest health insurance vendors.
Two other Democratic-Farmer-Labor cosponsors in the House – Kristin Bahner and Steve Elkins – worked for Optum and Optum Technology, respectively. Rep. Jessica Hanson has worked for Anthem, a major insurer in the state, for 14 years. Another, Rep. Liz Reyer, worked for nearly 20 years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Since 2017, employees at United Healthcare and Optum have given more than $25,000 to current sponsors of this legislation.
Two other groups that prominently support left-leaning health measures also are involved – AARP and the National Academy for State Health Policy. Both have conflicts of interest that aren’t mentioned in these debates. The state policy group receives funding from insurance companies and from Arnold Ventures, which funds Civica RX, a prescription drug non-profit attempting to produce its own generics to compete with other drug companies.
AARP receives more than a third of its income from United Health Group and Optum, two of the primary proponents of this measure.
The people who sell us our pharmaceuticals are all for this because they understand what Henry Waxman did not – that fixed prices are higher prices and the customers who are forced to rely on them do not benefit. The drug companies are doing fine. Time for Minnesota’s lawmakers to take care of the people instead.
All the ‘Trans Women’ Who Were Celebrated During Women’s History Month
Every year, March is recognized as “Women’s History Month.” This year’s Women’s History Month was one for the books. Townhall has covered time and time again how biological males who identify as transgender women have won titles and competitions against biological women. But, throughout this year’s Women’s History Month, specifically, several transgender women were recognized for accomplishments that could have gone to deserving biological women, from winning beauty pageant titles to receiving recognition from the current presidential administration.
Alba Rueda
Earlier this month, First Lady Jill Biden commemorated Women’s History Month by honoring Alba Rueda, a transgender person who serves as Argentina’s current Special Envoy for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, and was the first Argentine Undersecretary for Diversity Policies in the newly created Ministry of Women, Gender, and Diversity, according to a press release from the State Department.
On International Women’s Day, Rueda was honored at the White House’s Women of Courage awards, which recognized “a group of 11 extraordinary women from around the world who are working to build a brighter future for all.” Reportedly, United States Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks mispronounced Rueda’s name in her introductory remarks, according to the New York Post.
Rueda “is a transgender woman who was kicked out of classrooms, barred from sitting for exams, refused job opportunities, subjected to violence and rejected by her family,” Hicks reportedly said during her remarks. “But in the face of these challenges, she worked to end violence and discrimination against the LGBTQI+ community.”
Predictably, the first lady received backlash from Republicans for honoring Rueda on International Women’s Day

Lia Thomas
Will “Lia” Thomas is a biological male who identifies as transgender and competed on the women’s swim team at the University of Pennsylvania last year. As Townhall covered, Thomas robbed biological women of opportunities and won races competing against women. At the NCAA championships, Thomas took home a NCAA Division I Title. And, when Thomas tied against a female athlete, Riley Gaines, he was permitted to take the trophy home, while Gaines left empty-handed.
This month, ESPN celebrated Thomas by including him as part of a Women’s History Month video.
“In 2022, swimmer Lia Thomas became the first transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division 1 Championship by winning the 500 freestyle,” the narrator boasted in the video.

“Being trans is not a choice,” Thomas claimed in the video. “I didn’t have any other choice…I transitioned to be happy.”
“How can any woman work at ESPN after this?” Outkick editor David Hookstead wrote on Twitter. “The network is just openly mocking them at this point.”
In response to the video, Gaines called Thomas “arrogant” and pointed out that he stole a national title from a deserving female athlete. She then urged the women working at ESPN to leave the outlet.

In an interview with Fox Business, Gaines said that she never received a response from ESPN about her complaints about the video.
“People are becoming more bold, people are starting to open their eyes to what this gender ideology propaganda being pushed by the left, being pushed by the media, being pushed within education systems, [is].” Gaines said in the interview. “They’re opening their eyes to how harmful this is, specifically, of course, to women and to children.”
Rep. Leigh Finke
Each year, to commemorate Women’s History Month, USA Today releases a list of trailblazing women from each of the 50 states as its “Women of the Year.” This year, the outlet honored a biological male Democratic lawmaker who identifies as a transgender woman.
Democratic state Rep. Leigh Finke is the first “openly transgender” person to be elected and serve in Minnesota’s state legislature.
“It’s a dramatic understatement to say that I am beyond honored to see my name among this list of honorees,” Finke wrote of the honor on Twitter.

In USA Today’s profile of Finke, the outlet noted that he transitioned to live as a woman in 2017 and “has been an activist for transgender and LGBTQ+ rights, as well as Black Lives Matter, almost her whole life.”
As Townhall covered, in the interview, Finke said that there are currently 11 LGBTQ people who were elected to the Minnesota state legislature. Finke claimed that “trans liberation is upward flowing” and that “everyone will benefit from the work that we’re trying to do for our young people.”
This isn’t the first time USA Today honored a male as part of its Women’s History Month list. Last year, Townhall covered how USA Today honored Dr. Rachel Levine , the U.S. assistant secretary for health, on the same list. Levine, a four-star admiral, was born a biological male, Richard Levine, and transitioned to live as a female. Previously, Levine was secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. This month, Townhall reported how Levine promised to “normalize” life-altering, irreversible gender mutilation surgeries for minors.
Fae Johnstone
Candy company Hershey’s faced backlash this month after it unveiled female-themed chocolate bars promoted by a biological male who identifies as a woman in honor of Women’s History Month, which Townhall reported.
The transgender person, Fae Johnstone, a self-described “2 LGBTQIA+ advocate,” appeared in a video ad supporting the company’s campaign.
“My name is Fae Johnstone, I’m the executive director of Wisdom2Action. We can create a world where everyone is able to live in public space as their honest and authentic selves,” Johnstone said in the ad.
The ad concluded with a message stating, “See the women changing how we see the future” and encourage users to look up Hershey’s Canada on social media.

On Twitter, Johnstone said he was featured with four “sisters” in the campaign. And, as backlash began rolling in, Hershey’s Canada shared a statement on Instagram claiming that its pro-woman campaign is supposed to be “inclusive.”
“We value togetherness and recognize the strength created by diversity,” the statement said. “Over the past three years, our Women’s History Month programming has been an inclusive celebration of women and their impact. We appreciate the countless people and meaningful partnerships behind these efforts.”

This month, the California Bay Area crowned its new Miss San Francisco, who happens to be a biological male.
The new Miss San Francisco, Monroe Lace, appeared in an interview with local outlet KRON4 to discuss winning the pageant.

The host, Stephanie Lin, pointed out that “we’re at this time where women have gained so many privileges…at the same time, a number of privileges are being taken away [from women],” seemingly ignoring the fact that Lace won a competition against biological females who were deserving of the title. She boasted on social media that Lace will go on to compete in the upcoming Miss California pageant.
In November, a biological male named Brian Nguyen won a beauty pageant in New Hampshire. Many Twitter users criticized Nguyen’s win, pointing out that deserving female participants who competed were robbed of the opportunity to receive a scholarship and advance in the competition.

In November, the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that beauty pageant organization Miss United States of America LLC cannot be forced to allow biological males who identify as transgender women to compete in its competitions, which Townhall covered. The lawsuit surrounded an anti-discrimination law on gender identity in Oregon. The judges said the law cannot be applied to the pageant because it violates its free speech rights.

Lia Thomas is not the only biological male athlete to identify as a woman and rob females of accolades in their sport. Tiffany Thomas, a transgender athlete, won a women’s cycling event in New York City, which Townhall reported.

According to local outlet KATV, Tiffany Thomas went from “a total beginner to the elite level in just 5 years.”
In response to the criticism over the race, Tiffany Thomas wrote on Instagram that “my two best friends are just as strong as me, I just happened to have a better day on that particular day. They will assuredly beat me at future races.”
Shortly before Tiffany Thomas made headlines for winning the race, Hannah Arensman, a 35-time winner on the national cyclocross circuit, said in an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court that she retired from her sport when she finished in fourth place between two male-bodied “transgender” athletes at a competition (via the Supreme Court of the United States):
I have decided to end my cycling career. At my last race at the recent UCI Cyclocross National Championships in the elite women’s category in December 2022, I came in 4th place, flanked on either side by male riders awarded 3rd and 5th places. My sister and family sobbed as they watched a man finish in front of me, having witnessed several physical interactions with him throughout the race.
Additionally, it is difficult for me to think about the very real possibility I was overlooked for an international selection on the US team at Cyclocross Worlds in February 2023 because of a male competitor.
Moving forward, I feel for young girls learning to compete and who are growing up in a day when they no longer have a fair chance at being the new record 20 holders and champions in cycling because men want to compete in our division. I have felt deeply angered, disappointed, overlooked, and humiliated that the rule makers of women’s sports do not feel it is necessary to protect women’s sports to ensure fair competition for women anymore.
Our Message To The Left: Here I Stand
Totalitarians loathe debate. They sometimes discuss a particular issue, but too often, the conversation devolves into fits of emotion, false premises, and outright lies. Most of us know people like this, and there are several reasons why calm, forensic debate with them is nearly impossible.
The rookies of the American Left usually adhere pretty well to the talking points of whatever the issue is. Unfortunately for them, the messaging is a mile wide and an inch thick. They’ve been told what to believe and what to say, but they’re ill-instructed on the ‘why’ of their beliefs. So, flustered by their intellectual impotence, they often resort to name-calling and appeals to “educate yourself!”
More experienced Leftists will conflate an issue with things that have nothing to do with the topic. Another tactic involves inventing a false premise to create a distraction and move the conversation away from the matter at hand.
Militant Leftists take a hard-line approach. They’re adept at tearing down whatever institutions underpin the subject matter. Sometimes, this is done rhetorically, but militants are not shy about engaging in violence, up to and including mass murder.
At the core of this hatred of debate, and the questions that shape it, is the Left’s innate knowledge, however slight, that their positions are entirely indefensible. There is no truth and little logic to support any policy they want to inflict on Americans. When their inability to defend their ideas occurs to them, things get ugly and civil debate ends.
This totalitarian behavior is not new. But, unfortunately, much of what passes for discourse today reprises a debate style that emerged at the dawn of the most consequential event since the Edict of Milan; the Protestant Reformation.
The debate began on October 31, 1517, when a Roman Catholic monk named Martin Luther presented his 95 Theses to the Archbishop of Mainz. They were subsequently nailed to the University of Wittenberg church door, not in the act of defiance but because the church door served as a bulletin board for students and Luther’s fellow professors.
Luther made 95 one-sentence assertions detailing his views on the state of Christianity and wrote in his preface that he “intends to defend the following statements and to dispute on them in that place.” It was an invitation to debate his fellow academics about matters Luther saw as crucial to the faith.
But inviting a forensic discussion of these 95 issues enraged the ruling theocracy for the same reason American Leftists despise debate today. The medieval power structure knew their positions were indefensible and could not withstand scrutiny, so argument needed to be crushed.
The biggest threat to the theocracy involved money, and the payment of indulgences to the church in Rome. Initially, the corporate church promoted German friar Johann Tetzel to debate Luther. Tetzel was chosen for this task because he sold a lot of indulgences in Germany.
Tetzell was an outstanding salesman but was woefully out of his depth in debate. His talking points were a mile wide and an inch thick, and he utterly failed, ending his career with a demotion. But rather than continue the debate, they simply changed the subject and ramped up the slander. Finally, about a year after posting his 95 Theses, Luther was ordered to appear in Augsburg, Germany, to defend himself against accusations of heresy.
Still unable to refute Luther, the ruling class sought to cancel him via ex-communication in 1521. He was then allowed to recant before the Diet of Worms, the theocracy’s legislative assembly. But Luther’s position was founded on truth, and the other side was founded on lies, so he held his ground.
After failing to cancel or intimidate Luther, the government decided he needed killing. So Emperor Charles V declared Luther an outlaw, meaning he could be killed on sight. Thankfully, Luther had a political ally in Frederick the Wise of Saxony, who orchestrated the fake kidnapping of Luther and provided a haven at his castle in Wartburg, Germany.
Civic debate in America today parallels the theocratic response to Luther, whose sin was seeking discussion and asking questions. Like medieval theocrats, the modern Left is keenly aware they cannot prevail in the civil debate. Hence, they slander, intimidate and seek to wreck whatever and whomever they must to prevent debate.
But Luther had none of it and confidently told the Diet of Worms, “Acting against one’s conscience is neither safe nor sound. So here I stand; I can do no other.” In seeking debate, Luther propelled the Reformation forward and articulated the freedoms of religion, speech, press, peaceable assembly and redress of grievances enshrined in the First Amendment of our Constitution.
Whether the American Left will succeed in using these regressive tactics today depends on us. So it’s time to say, ‘Here I stand.’
