Cry the Beloved Europe?

 

Nothing bothers the European elite as much as American conservatives praising the European foundations of their shared, but threatened, Western civilization.

Europeans especially resent having their social-welfare state system critiqued by upstart, crass Americans.

Their pique only increases as they push back against the condescending American idea that the U.S. could possibly offer any constructive advice, much less help a more civilized Europe follow the “American model.”ctory of permanent decline—with dire consequences for the entire Western world.

As for symptoms, the U.S. cites a steadily declining European share of world GDP. It points to Europe‘s unsustainable 1.39 fertility rate, which ensures a steadily smaller, older and costlier native population.

More than 10% of Europe’s resident population is now foreign-born—some 45 million people. However, the European host, unlike a classless America, does not have a long tradition of melting-pot assimilation, integration and acculturation.

Unlike America’s mostly Christian-nation immigration patterns, European immigrants are predominantly from the Middle East and North Africa, Islamic and increasingly anti-Western.

Many of Europe’s immigrants profess too little desire to assimilate into what they consider a culturally decadent place—one that, ironically, they have no desire to leave.

The Christian Church, the linchpin of Western civilization, was born in Europe. Yet, nowhere does atheism, agnosticism and open hostility to Christendom grow stronger.

Europe, the birthplace of a dynamic Western military tradition, has been, by contemporary standards and at least until recently, virtually disarmed and unable to protect its own borders or interests.

Europe’s overregulation and war on fossil fuels, combined with a generous social welfare state, have resulted in too little revenue and too many costly dependents.

Americans dare to lecture Europe because the same Western pathologies—open borders, unassimilated immigrants, tribalism, declining fertility, green fanaticism, unsustainable budget deficits, and massive national debt—are likewise beginning to threaten America.

But unlike Europe, millions of Americans at the eleventh hour are galvanizing to stop their own insidious downward spiral.

So Americans claim to know firsthand the causes for these shared, but even more distressing, European symptoms of decay.

And their answers are the threats of several dangerous ideologies.

One pathology is green fanaticism, which has led Europeans to not only ignore their fossil fuel resources but also to dismantle existing coal, nuclear, and natural gas plants.

That suicidal folly ensured that transportation fuels and electrical power became so exorbitant that once sought-after European exports are now uncompetitive, while Europe’s strapped middle classes slip into poverty.

Meanwhile, China funds green causes in the West, exports below-cost cheap wind and solar systems, and then builds three coal or nuclear plants a month to ensure that it has much cheaper energy than the green West.

Other existential threats are diversity, equity, inclusion, or DEI, mandates—a precivilizational emphasis on tribal affinities of race and religion rather than shared national values and unity. The results are legions of drone DEI commissars who sow disunity, spike racial tensions, wage war on meritocracy and increase overhead.

America further warns Europe that only cutbacks in unsustainable entitlements can allow it to reboot its militaries enough to prevent Russian bullying and threats of attack, protect supply lines of imported fuels and natural resources, and deter terrorists.

And what happens if a petulant and snarky Europe utterly rejects the American diagnosis, therapy and prognosis?

America will decide that it can no longer afford, as NATO’s leader, to protect European borders when it struggles at home to ensure its own.

Nor can the U.S. understand an increasingly two-faced Europe.

One of its faces is the self-righteous 27-member European Union that is becoming increasingly anti-American.

The EU attacks the U.S. nonstop on matters of culture, energy, trade, censorship, and foreign policy.

Yet nearly the same nations of a 32-member NATO alliance—Europe’s other face—praise America for its military leadership and call for closer U.S.-European strategic relations.

This one-eyed Jack policy of censoring and fining American companies, blasting American allies at the United Nations and belittling conservative, Christian, and traditional American culture, while praising the U.S. military and courting its armed assistance, is simply not sustainable.

Is there a solution? Perhaps, given that both civilizations are offering diametrically opposed correctives to their shared morbidities.

Europe is only growing more socialist, censorious, globalist, pacifist, multicultural, atheistic, and green.

In contrast, the U.S. is undergoing a counter-revolution toward smaller government, fewer regulations, more fossil fuels, an expanding military, less DEI and woke, more secure borders, legal-only immigration, and renewed faith.

Only one of these competing solutions will solve the shared crisis of Western civilization.

And let us hope the one remedy that works will be fully adopted by both.

‘They Weren’t Prisoners!’: Venezuela and the Second-Guessing of the Military

 

person 1: We’re at war, according to our Secretary of War. And nobody argues with that. So, if we’re at war, I think we learned in Vietnam that the micromanaging of what—

person 2: I don’t think you want to go into Venezuela on ground.

person 1: no

person 2: Because let’s count the ways. You’ve got the MAGA base that does not want optional military engagements. The Rand Pauls, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson. Okay. That’s clear.

And then once you’ve staked so many assets, it’s like he’s put a frog in the pot and turned up the temperature. So, they can’t fly in and out of Venezuela, they can’t use ships, can’t go in. It’s basically an embargo. How long can you sustain it, put soldiers at sea in a combat situation? And what if [Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro] just says, “I’m going to wait it out”?

So, what’s the next step to ratchet up the pressure? I don’t know what that is. But once you’ve committed these forces, and you put them right off the coast, and you said he has to go, you’ve committed the prestige of the U.S. military. And if you back down, it’s kind of like what Joe Biden did when he said it depends on whether it’s a minor invasion [into Ukraine]. Or [how former Secretary of State] Antony Blinken was dressed down in Anchorage by the Chinese, or the Chinese balloon. Any indication that there are not dire consequences once you’ve made that decision, it’s very hard. So, I’m not sure that I would have put all those assets so quickly right there because now it’s a question of willpower. And if he says, “I can survive without my drug revenues or I can get them from other countries,” then he may be able to survive.

We did this once before with [Panamanian dictator Manuel] Noriega. He was a drug smuggler. The other problem is he just pardoned the president of Honduras, who is a conservative, who had been convicted in a U.S. court of drug smuggling, sentenced to 40 years. So, it doesn’t look good to say we can’t tolerate any drug running from Latin American countries, and we’re going to go to war almost, but this guy right north of you has been convicted of drug running and yet you pardoned him. So that’s problematic. He pardoned him because he said that the Biden administration was politically hostile to his politics. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I’m just talking about optics.

person 1: I was asking the question of didn’t we learn in Vietnam and do you feel like it still stands that micromanaging military affairs on the battlefield does not work very well? That we as a citizen should expect our president that we elected and our military to be given orders and then understanding there are laws …

person 2: I think the order was—

person 1: There’s some laws, but in general, the orders were in this case hit the drug boat, sink the drugs or destroy the drugs, and destroy all the drug runners and that’s what the orders were to that regional commander.

person 2: Yes, and that’s what orders always are. And then the question is … let me give you an example. In the Battle of the Bulge, the Germans, under a lot of irregular troops, went in at Malmedy and executed prisoners. And during the Dieppe raid, they executed prisoners. In the Dunkirk evacuation, the Germans executed prisoners. The question is then: Did they get that at Nuremberg? Did they get that command from the general or not? And the U.S. does not execute prisoners. But it’s happened.

The people who executed the Americans, the SS, when they were captured in elements of the Battle of Bulge, subsequently, some of them were executed by American soldiers. I don’t know any American soldiers that were held captive. I mean, captive to the law and culpable. So again, it’s a fine line when you hit a military target and the target is still there, so you know that there are people in there that can’t fight back and that are suffering. So, do you hit it again to eliminate the threat or do you consider those people prisoners of war even though you’re not even near them?

What I’m getting at is this: They say they were executed prisoners of war. They weren’t in possession of the United States. It would be one thing if they had come up quickly with a PT boat, so to speak, and got them, put them on the boat, and then started going out to high sea and throw them overboard. But they were part of a kinetic operation is what I’m saying. It was still ongoing.

It’s all part of a narrative that we saw with the video, this Seditious Six, so to speak. And out of nowhere, Sen. Mark Kelly has decided that he’s going to be a prominent anti-Trump spokesperson. So, he made the video, he was subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, where he called for people to disobey orders if they thought they were illegal. Now he’s weighing in that Pete Hegseth should be impeached.

Now he’s weighing in and this has been an avenue for his media exposure. But he has to be careful because no one believes that if the person is not in your possession and he’s still part of a kinetic ongoing battle that he’s a prisoner. You know what I’m saying?

My grandfather, I asked him, in World War I, when I was a little boy, I said, “What were you doing?” He said, “I’m a Lewis machine gunner.” He was a Teamster. And they put him in a combat unit. And he was gassed and disabled. But he basically said, “I got sick of shooting young Germans and old Germans as they were running away. We were chasing them.” And they weren’t surrendering, but they obviously couldn’t fight back. They’d given up, and they were running back. The Americans were chasing them with arms and shot them.

So, I don’t know what the Left means by prisoners, shooting prisoners or executing prisoners. They weren’t prisoners.

Impeach Hegseth? You Should Be Thanking Hegseth

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and, of course, President Donald Trump have also faced impeachment calls this week from House Democrats.

 What do you think about these impeachments? They’re obviously not going to go through. So, what’s the point?

person 2 Why are they doing it? They don’t control the House. It’s just a way. Now you mentioned these guys’ names, and now I know them. That’s what it’s for. Our listeners heard their names. That’s it. 

They’re not going to get an impeachment majority vote. And there’s no way in the world they’re going to get 60 senators to vote. No way for a conviction.

So, I would ask them, “What would be an impeachable offense if you’re Pete Hegseth?” He took out 30 boats. Let’s say there were seven people on them, right? He didn’t kill anybody, but 20 people were killed in this kinetic operation. 

Barack Obama killed over 550. I haven’t heard Pete Hegseth joke about it. Let me just ask the two congressmen this question: I’m Pete Hegseth. You know, I didn’t think I was good at killing, but I found out I’m well suited for it.

And then he’s going tell to a big audience, all the media in Washington, all the marquee media in America, he’s going to say, I just want to make a joke. Anybody want to date my daughters? It’s called  P-R-E-D-A-T-O-R, Predator drone strike. Be careful. 

So, what are [Hegseth]’s crimes? Well, he came in, and they were 45,000 recruits short in the military, and they had drummed out between 8,000 and 8,500 people for not getting the mRNA vaccination.

Aside from the question of whether that was a wise move, most of those people had had COVID by that time. So, they had a natural immunity. And we know now that the natural immunity is as good or better than the boosters or whatever. Speaking to someone who had both Moderna and I’ve had four cases of COVID, two serious and two not as bad.

And then, they were letting in 10,000 people a day across the border without any audit. So, they were telling the U.S. military, you’ve got to get an experimental, unproven Moderna or Pfizer vaccination, but the people coming from Latin America or all over the world, they don’t have to. They’re more entitled than you are. 

So, he solved that problem. There’s no recruitment crisis. Why are you raising your hand? 

Winc: Because I want to say something about that. They undoubtedly felt in the military under [President Joe] Biden that they could get rid of people that were politically right-wing if they said people who did not get vaccinations, because the majority of the people that were against either vaccinations or the lockdown tended to be the right wing.

So that was probably more the goal than anything else. 

Hanson: This is what they did. This is what they did intentionally. [Former Secretary of Defense] Lloyd Austin and Joe Biden. And to an extent, Secretary of State [Antony] Blinken. They said to the military, how do we get rid of these conservative people in the ranks? Well, they are more likely, as you said, not to get vaccinated. Let’s get rid of 8,500. These were some really good veterans, great people. 

Then they said, well, let’s really push the trans, gay, DEI agenda. Let’s run commercials of women pregnant in air suits. Let’s have trans shows on military bases. Let us have, we won’t call them quotas, that’s illegal, but we will have racial quotas and gender quotas. And let’s have women in combat units regardless. We’ll lower the standards.

What was all the purpose of that? They said it was for inclusivity and diversity. No, it was to target a particular type of soldier. And that soldier fits a profile. Let’s just take today’s potential recruit, 18. His father fought in the Gulf War. His father fought in Vietnam. His father fought in Korea. His father, or grandfather, fought in World War II. His great-grandfather fought in World War I.

That was the type of demographic that volunteers to go into the military, especially the Army. And I say this until I turn blue in the face, but if you go in and try to decipher Pentagon websites or Pentagon-related—and they do not want to talk about this—but if you look at it, they have every DEI stat you can imagine. How many colonels are black? How many women are in combat units?

The dead? That’s hard. How many people died by race? But if you can find that, and I have found it, it’s about 72 to 74% in Afghanistan and Iraq.

So let me just summarize. They came in and said we do not like these recruits. And we’re going to keep in your face DEI, in your face vaccination, and we’re gonna insult them on radical abortion, and we’re gonna get rid of them.

And then they said, well, these people constitute white male rural, Southern, you know what I’m talking about, our suburbs, they constitute about 35%, 70%, 67%—I know they inflate, there’s multiracial, all that—but say 67 to 70% are white and half of that. So, you’re talking about 34 to 35% of that pool was dying at double their numbers.

And yet that was the one they targeted to get rid of them. And they did. They just quit. 45,000 of them. Then you go to the Pentagon websites, and you think who is not being recruited? And you can see it, that was 90% white males. Then you talk to retired officers and generals, and they email you or they’re angry at you or they trash you if you say this, and they have me. 

Then you ask them why the shortfall? They will give you every answer except the truth. They will not say that white males die at twice their numbers in the demographic, and we try to alienate them through these social programs. They’ll say, people are too fat. They have too many tattoos. They’re on drugs. They’re out of shape. We have to compete with private enterprise. It’s all a lie.

And he solved that problem, Pete Hegseth. There is no shortage now. All of them are back.

And he solved the problem as well of if you want to smuggle drugs into the United States and you’re in Latin America, we have a wall across the southern border now and there’s zero entry, then you have to come by sea. And he was waiting for them.

And they kill 75,000 people a year through imported fentanyl and fentanyl-like drugs. 

[Hegseth is] compared to what? I think George W. Bush ordered targeted assassinations of about 50 people. He never killed a U.S. citizen.

Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump have not killed more than 30 or 40 people, maybe more in Iraq in the first term or Syria. And they have not, to our knowledge, killed a U.S. citizen. And the very people who joked about it under [Barack] Obama are now wanting to impeach him.

And then the final thing he’s done very good: He’s broken up the idea that you only buy major weapons systems from Raytheon or General Dynamics or Lockheed or Northrop. These are all great companies. The people that run them are great, but they’re very expensive. $14 billion carriers, $75 million planes, $170 million fighters. So why not a million drones? Why not a million robotic drones on land? Why not a million drones in the ocean? Why not cheap missiles that people carry on their back?

So, that’s what they’re doing. They’re trying to break up that monopoly and get on the shelf practical quantity as well as quality.  

Frightening CCP Infiltration of the U.S. at All-Time High

 

Everyone complains about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but we all buy their products with the impression that China has become more of a free market country, resulting in a disconnect from the reality of the horrors of the CCP. The CCP is harvesting tens of thousands of organs from dissidents while they are alive in prison, almost always resulting in their deaths. One dissident who recently escaped China after two years in prison merely for practicing his religion (the CCP is atheist and mostly bans religion), told me every week his blood was taken in order to determine if he would be a suitable organ donor.

While China implemented economic reforms beginning in 1978, allowing some private enterprise, the political system retains communist ideology and one-party rule — at best a socialist market economy. Under dictator Xi Jinping, controls have tightened, with increased censorship, surveillance and repression of dissent.

But it doesn’t just end in China. The CCP is increasingly infiltrating the U.S. with political warfare and influence operations, as exposed in a 2024 report from the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. Chairman James Comer (R-KY-01) said the CCP identified the U.S. as its main enemy, since the communists view the U.S. as a threat to their “authoritarian grip.”

The CCP is conducting espionage and intellectual property theft in the U.S, with economic espionage from the CCP — 80 percent of economic espionage — costing the U.S. hundreds of billions of dollars annually. The CCP is stealing trade secrets, military technology and research.

The CCP uses overseas Chinese associations, sister-city programs and student groups like the Chinese Students and Scholars Associations to monitor dissidents, promote CCP narratives and build influence. They harass and threaten Falun Gong practitioners, including their internationally renowned Shen Yun dance and music troupe. Operatives call in bomb threats to Shen Yun’s performances and threaten national governments and venues, resulting in some of them caving and refusing to host Shen Yun. Shen Yun’s breathtaking performances showcase the beauty of Chinese culture and history, but also cover abuses by the CCP.

Two agents affiliated with the CCP attempted to bribe IRS agents with $50,000 to investigate Shen Yun, but the plot was foiled and they were prosecuted and sentenced. Lawsuits were filed against Shen Yun, making up stories like utilizing child labor and failing to use doctors, but they were baseless and got nowhere. Over 750 current and former Shen Yun artists and production staff members, including almost all current performers and staff, signed a petition condemning the media attacks.  

Falun Gong, which supporters believe has almost 100 million participants worldwide, is a spiritual practice that emerged in the 1990s, combining elements of traditional Chinese qigong, meditation and moral teachings drawn from Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian traditions. While it’s not much different than the spiritual practices associated with yoga, and its adherents believe in a higher being, the CCP has falsely portrayed it as a cult to hurt its reputation. Falun Gong is actually the opposite of a cult, because it has a decentralized, loose structure with no formal membership, fees, temples, rituals or rigid hierarchy. Practitioners have a positive view of other religions, viewing them as historically valuable but with concern that some have become secularized.

 CCP agents are purchasing land near military bases and infiltrating port entries. They plant stories in the mainstream media and threaten U.S. reporters. Mike Forsythe of Bloomberg News had his investigation killed, Bloomberg fired him, and his wife, Leta Hong Fincher, was pressured to stay silent. Reporters in China are sentenced to prison for as long as 10 years. 

Agents affiliated with the CCP pay protesters to cause division, including disrupting Falun Gong parades, protesting against Israel and creating conflict over illegal immigration policies. Whistleblower notes from a June internal CITIC report revealed that the CCP pushed its agents to “take advantage of the U.S. election and the conflicts between the two parties.” Agents pay social media influencers to spread disinformation and create anonymous accounts.

The CCP goes after all dissenters and religions. Since Falun Gong practitioners abstain from tobacco and alcohol, they are considered ideal organ harvesting candidates. Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ-04), co-chair of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC), said the average age of those executed and immediately harvested is 28. 

Christians are only allowed to worship in state-sanctioned churches that promote the CCP, so they meet in illegal underground homes. Smith said that while they represent a “smaller portion” of harvesting victims, due to their healthier lifestyles and fewer Falun Gong left to harvest from, Christians could become increasingly targeted.

The Tuidang Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party tracks how many Chinese have left the CCP and its affiliated organizations. It states that there are now over 456 million deserters.

There is a perception that China is going to surpass the U.S. in influence and power because of its ruthless saturation of the U.S. market with cheap goods. But it’s an illusion. China undercuts U.S. market competition by treating its workers like slaves and forcing unpaid labor on prisoners, not through legitimate means. One dissident told me his roommate was shocked to see the exact products he was forced to produce without pay in prison for sale on Amazon. 

Former FBI Director Christopher Wray described China as the U.S.’s top counterintelligence priority, with new China-related cases opened every 10–12 hours. Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe warned Americans in an op-ed that “China Is National Security Threat No. 1.” 

China is no longer a paper tiger; it is a real threat. While the U.S. may have successfully led the fight to eradicate communism in the former U.S.S.R., which had 286 million people (and granted, modern-day Russia is only somewhat of an improvement), communism in China, with its much greater 1.4 billion population, has arisen to replace it

These Democrat Narratives Are a Lame Excuse for an Agenda

 

I’d like to talk about Democratic talking points. By that, I mean, these memes, these topics, these themes that they use. But they seem to be divorced from reality.

Take the Epstein files. Remember, Epstein files? Epstein files. Epstein files. Gotta have the Epstein files released. They all said that Trump was hiding things. And rational people said the Democratic administration had the files for four years. Given what they had done to Trump with lawfare, you would’ve thought that if there was anything incriminating, they would’ve released it.]

And then, of course, there were rumors that 80% to 90% of the people mentioned in the files were Democrats. And then there was also an investigation, through leaks, that Donald Trump ostracized Jeffrey Epstein—and here’s the key point—before he was convicted of sexual crime. So, there was nothing there. And yet, as soon as Trump comes in, Epstein files, Epstein files. Epstein files. So, he releases them. And what does it show? Exactly what everybody knew and what the Democrats, themselves, knew. Did they say, “We’re sorry, we cooked this all up, there was nothing in the files”? No. They went on right to Obamacare.

Affordable Care Act. Let’s shut down the government. Republicans will not give us all this money. Multi-billion-dollar subsidies. And then people said, “Well, come on, you guys. You publicize it as the new health care plan. Only 25 million Americans are in it. A small fraction. It doesn’t work. You, yourself, said that they needed subsidies. And you were willing to put a time limit on it. And the subsidies ran out. And they weren’t even enough.”

It’s just constant, constant, constant. This isn’t the issue. Yes, it is. Affordable Care Act. Affordable Care Act. That’s all that matters. Affordable care—and then the government was shut down, for the longest time in history. Forty days. And now it’s open. Has anybody heard anybody talk about the Affordable Care Act? I haven’t.

And then it was Trump’s health. Trump’s health. Trump’s health. He’s got spots on his arms. He has cankles. He’s limping. He looks bad. He’s losing his mind. Everybody said, “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You people hid the demonstrable cognitive decline of Joe Biden for four years with a very strange White House media conspiracy. Now you’re suggesting that Trump is non compos mentis? But he just took a health exam. An MRI body scan.” No, no, no, no. He’s cognitively declined. So then, he releases it. It shows that he is in perfect health for someone his age. Does anybody talk about Trump’s health? No. No. No.

And then it’s affordability. Affordability. Affordability. That’s what it’s all about. Affordability. Well, wait a minute. During the Biden administration, there was a cumulative inflation of 21%. That averages out to 5.2% per year. Per year. When Donald Trump came in, Jan. 20th, 2025, it had dipped to 3%. But given all the things that Trump has done, it’s still 3%. He has not increased inflation. He has brought in $10 trillion, at least, of foreign investment. There’s going to be enormous stimuli next year, as far as oil and gas production at record levels, the Big Beautiful Bill’s deregulation, tax cuts. And do we hear about affordability? Affordability? Affordability? Not really. I mean, there’s no real issue. The inflation rate is lower, this year, than in any year on average of the Biden administration. And it’s going get better next year.

So, what am I trying to get at? What’s going on? Why do they fixate on these themes, and then they just drive it, drive it, drive it? And the fact is, their acts of commission and omission, they feel that they can create chaos. They can make people angry. They can bomb Tesla dealerships. They can shut down the government. They can stop ICE. They can tell soldiers to disobey orders. But that’s a negative message. What is omitted? That’s the committed message.

But what is omitted? Do they say, “Here’s my alternate plan for immigration. I want one million, two million, three million illegal. I want to go back to the Biden [administration], two million illegal aliens a year”? No, nothing. “Obamacare: Here’s how we’re going to solve it so we don’t need subsidies. A, B, C.” Nothing.

Trump’s health: “We introduce legislation that every president has to have an annual physical, every year. And everything has to be transparent.” If that had been true, Biden would’ve been 25th Amendmented the first year of his term. Do they have a crime initiative? Do they have a foreign policy initiative? Do they have any initiative? No. So, what they try to do is: A, create chaos so we’ll all lay down in the fetal position, say, “Please stop it. I don’t want it.” Or they’re going to talk about affordability, affordability, affordability, without ever mentioning that under their auspices, the DEI, the ESG, The Green New Deal, it was all regulate, regulate, restrict, slow down. And we had 21% inflation. We had low GDP. Do we want to go back to that?

So, they don’t talk about it. So don’t pay any attention to Epstein files, Obamacare, Trump’s MRI, affordability. These are all just excuses for the absence of 51% on the issues. And a lack of a systematic, comprehensive, alternate agenda, that they can present to Donald Trump. That all this is absurd does not mean it doesn’t work. I mean, we have a candidate who, in Virginia, running for attorney general, said that he wanted his opponent dead and his children dead. And he won. He won. We had a candidate for the mayoral race who said he wanted to seize the means of production. And [Zohran] Mamdani won.

We have all these races where crazy things happen. But that doesn’t mean that we have to accept them, as not crazy. They’re crazy. And don’t pay any attention to them because it’s just an excuse for the lack of a serious agenda.
