Gaetz's 2018 Comments About Paul Ryan Are Circulating Again

 

A 2018 video of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who led the effort to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from his speakership post, began circulating on social media following the historic motion-to-vacate vote. 

In the clip, the Florida Republican argued that efforts to oust then-Speaker Paul Ryan would weaken the GOP. 

“Here’s the problem: If we take Paul Ryan off the field right now, instead of being able to finish strong in the 115th Congress, we will shatter into a bunch of factions fighting against each other for power,” Gaetz said. “We’ve got enough of that in Washington already. Paul Ryan can be a caretaker of the speakership. We can have a leadership election. We could go into the midterms strong. And I don’t think they’re pushing him out early if he doesn’t want to go, is in any way advantageous.”

After Tuesday's vote, Gaetz accused McCarthy of being influenced by special interests.

"He's the product of a corrupt system that rewards people who collect large sums of special interest money and then redistribute that money in exchange for political loyalty and political favors," Gaetz told reporters.

"The reason Kevin McCarthy went down today is because nobody trusts Kevin McCarthy," Gaetz continued. "Kevin McCarthy has made multiple contradictory promises, and when they all came due, he lost votes of people who maybe don't even ideologically agree with me on everything." 

He argued it's now time to move forward, finding "new leadership that can be trustworthy."

You Can Draft This

 

There are some rumblings that I expect to get louder now that our elite is realizing that they have totally alienated the traditional Americans who traditionally make up our Armed Forces, and that they are thinking about the necessity of a draft. The Army War College, of which I am an alum, recently published an article that talks about the casualties you can expect in high intensity warfare – several thousand a week. So, in a few weeks, you’ve got more dead than you had in Afghanistan and Iraq combined over 20 years. Our military, which has shrunk dramatically over the last three decades, simply cannot accept that rate of casualties, especially when it can’t fill its ranks with volunteers anymore. So, the answer is apparently to not rely on volunteers.

Don’t count out establishment pressure for a new draft. After all, it’s not a meat grinder without meat. The bodies have to come from somewhere. There’s no calling guys back to active duty. At the height of the global war on terror about 20 years ago, we had a lot of dudes signing up because they were excited and patriotic and wanted to avenge 9/11. Well, they learned, the hard way that this establishment is not only grossly incompetent but cares nothing for them. When you treat troops like garbage, they know it. And it’s not like you can call them back. Their service obligations are up. Most of them are pushing 40 at the low end. Do you know what you call a 40 year-old infantryman? Sergeant major or colonel. And we’ve got plenty of those. In fact, we have too many.

The ridiculous Mark Milley, basically Alexander von Sausage Vindman with more stars, waddled his way up to a podium to retire the other day. He’s a freaking disgrace to the uniform. This is the guy who wanted to know what “white rage” was in front of one audience, but in front of another denied that he knew what woke is. I wonder if they really think their soldiers are stupid enough not to know when they’re being lied to. Well, our troops are not that dumb. And they certainly know when their lives are being squandered, as 13 of them were in Kabul. 

It's not a question of patriotism. Our guys are loyal to our country. But our senior leaders, from our Commander-In-Crusty to the newest woke major at Fort Saul Alinsky, are loyal to social justice ideology. They pretend the organization that used to be the most respected institution in American society is still the institution that America once respected. But it isn’t. And they will not guilt us into unseeing that reality. Who wants to serve in the Great Pronoun War of 2023? Who wants to be forced into taking vaccines that don’t vaccinate? Who wants their commander to have breasts and a penis? 

Not anyone normal. They will try to play the service card. That might work better if that service would be protecting our borders instead of Ukraine’s. When one of these hacks asks you to go serve your country, your proper response should be to ask what is the name of the general fired for what happened in Afghanistan. The fact that they can’t answer that question is all the answer you need.

But they need troops – it’s no fun being a general without any. Who would a draft be targeted at? Traditional, conservative Americans, from mostly the rural South and Midwest, the traditional recruiting grounds for a substantial percentage of our troops. And those are, not coincidentally, the very people that the folks in charge hate the most. Our soldiers understand that and our soldiers are leaving in droves while young people are foregoing the military. Much of that is because vets are telling them not to join.

Let’s be really clear about what’s going on in the veteran community, because what you hear in the media is a lie. There is almost no one out there who is a veteran who is excited about having his or her kids serve. It is not that we are not supportive of the troops – if they serve, we back them 100%. But we’re not recommending that they do. The fact is that the leadership of this country is unworthy of our troops, and our potential troops are refusing to volunteer. It’s only going to get worse as the military gets woker and the establishment gets more warmongery.

So, of course, the establishment’s answer to young people’s failure to volunteer is to volunteer them. But we all know who’s going to get volunteered. It’s not going to be Kayden and Ashley from Santa Monica. It’s going to be your kids. Right now, 70% of kids cannot join the military because of various physical mental and other qualifications. When there is a draft, they may try and be clever and not have the kind of student deferments that made sure that college kids like Joe Biden never saw action, except in mortal combat with Corn Pop.

The way the rich kids will get out of it is to have some psychiatrist talk about their PTSD from being exposed to non-gluten-free noodles or the like. The rich kids are going to get out of it again, or they’re going to get some baloney “alternative” service reading stories to gang members. Your kids won’t get that option. Your kids will get sent to some foreign hellhole for some purpose that our glorious establishment doesn’t feel it needs to explain to you, and they’ll get killed.

But I’m not sure we’re going to see passive compliance here. In Vietnam, few people know that most of the folks who fought were actually volunteers. Yeah, a lot of the rich college kids weaseled out of their duty, but a lot of others signed up voluntarily. They did it because their dads did it and their dad’s dad did it. But right now, all the dads are saying “Hell no, you won’t go,” not because they hate the red, white, and blue, but because they hate the desiccated old pervert in the White House masquerading as our commander-in-chief, and his coterie of morons that has failed every national security challenge in the last 30 years.

If you start trying to make normal Americans send their kids off to yet another stupid war, that may be the line in the sand where things get ugly. After all, you saw what the moms did over drag queen story hour. What happens when the moms see their sons being sent off to get killed so Lindsey Graham can be the toast of Kyiv? It’s not going to be pretty.  

And do not think boots on the ground in Ukraine can’t happen. That big offensive we’ve been hearing about has gone almost nowhere. It has stalled. And the Russians are going to build up their forces, like they have through history, and they’re going to counterattack, and there is a significant chance the Ukrainian army – despite gallant resistance – is going to collapse. This doesn’t make me happy, because I like Ukrainians – I helped train them. But the facts are the facts. At some point, to save Ukraine, or some piece of it, somebody’s going to get the bright idea to send American bodies in and we’re going to realize what high intensity combat against a peer competitor looks like. And it looks a lot different than chasing a bunch of goat herders around the Hindu Kush. We’re going to see young Americans get killed in numbers that we can’t even conceive of today. And heaven forefend that it goes off with China, because you can double that figure. If you tell America we can’t lose 5,000 souls on an aircraft carrier pulverized by hypersonic missiles, then you are either lying to us or lying to yourself.

To fight a modern war, they are going to need bodies in numbers not needed for generations. They’re not going to fill the ranks with volunteers. They will have to draft them. That kind of move could re-define American politics because you’re going to get a lot of people elected on an isolationist platform at the next election, assuming there is one. I am not an isolationist. I’m a Jacksonian. I believe in fighting when you have to, and then you kill the SOBs. But our foreign policy establishment doesn’t believe that. It considers itself smarter than the teachings of 5000 years of military history. And it doesn’t care about our young people. 

That seems pretty harsh, but let them try to tell us it’s not true. Let them make the case that our foreign policy establishment believes it has some obligation not to squander the lives of our young people on poorly conceived, planned, and executed overseas military misadventures. They can’t. Their whole response would be “You love Putin,” or something along those lines. But the truth is undeniable. To them, our sons and daughters are nothing more than cannon fodder.

Hell no, our young people will not go.

Map Reveals Which Cities Illegal Migrants Are Heading For, and the Answer Is Not Surprising

 

Newly released data shows that thousands of illegal migrants are heading to the cities that once welcomed them with open arms but are now calling on federal help to combat the flood.

According to the Washington Times, federal data found that most aliens who crossed the southern border illegally are making their way to Democrat-led cities. 

Roughly 2,572 illegal aliens were “paroled” in May and 18 percent of migrants crossing the border are putting roots down in New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley. 

Another 30 percent of migrants traveled to Chicago, Boston, Miami, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Atlanta, Denver, Detroit, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C. were also among the cities illegal migrants were beginning to call home. 

Of the 2,572 illegal migrants,1,290 have yet to be sent a charging document or notice to appear, meaning a deportation proceeding is nowhere in the future for them. 

Despite a 60-day requirement, data found that at least one hundred migrants have failed to check in with ICE. This makes it impossible to track their whereabouts. According to court documents, the government suggested it was “pondering its options” about the parole violators and had reported them to ICE’s fugitive teams for “appropriate” action.

A map of “sanctuary” cities and states published by the conservative Center for Immigration Studies shows that, except Miami, all of these cities have policies that hinder Immigration and Customs Enforcement by denying information about offenders and access to facilities.

In other words, the illegal migrants were allowed to travel to these so-called “sanctuary” cities in almost all of which they’ll be protected from federal authorities. 

The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse counted 37 counties receiving at least 1,000 immigrants over those three months. It also found that 180,000 cases were added in August alone. Meanwhile, judges closed about 60,000 cases or one-third of the incoming rate.

In 2023 alone, nearly 3 million migrants illegally crossed the southern border into the U.S., and illegal migrants are coming faster than immigration courts can handle them.

A New Law Executing Child Rapists Has Gone Into Effect

 

A new law implementing the death penalty for child rapists, which was signed by Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis earlier this year, has officially gone into effect in the Sunshine State. 

Florida’s law allowing the death penalty for child rapists is now in effect.

The minimum sentence is life in prison without parole. In Florida, anyone who harms children in such a horrific way will never walk free.

Authorities arrested a Texas man after an 11-year-old girl was gang raped in a home with nearly a dozen illegal aliens. In Florida, this heinous crime now carries a possible death sentence.

The bill was passed in bipartisan fashion. 

Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book, a Davie Democrat who was sexually abused as a child, implored senators Tuesday evening to vote for the bill. She said people who sexually abuse children are "called predators for a reason, because they stalk and hunt down their prey."

"There is no statute of limitations on this crime (for victims)," Book said. "There is no end. It's always with you."

DeSantis also signed additional legislation over the summer implementing harsher punishments for sex offenders and violent criminals.

“There is no meaningful difference between a criminal that committed a crime of sexual violence and a criminal that attempted but failed to commit that same crime — neither deserve to have their sentences cut short,” DeSantis said at the time. “While other states endanger their citizens by prematurely putting criminals back on the streets, Florida will continue to enact policies to protect our communities from violent offenders.”

Julius Malema and the Deliberate Malevolence of Marxism

 

Over the past few weeks, England’s Daily Mail has published several articles about the growing political unrest in South Africa and the rise of Julius Malema, head of the Economic Freedom Fighters, an expressly “Marxist-Leninist” party calling for “seizure of private property without compensation” and nationalization of the country’s gold mines, banking institutions and other industries. Malema has declared his plans to “destroy South African capitalism” and turn the country into Cuba, which he describes as a “successful socialist state.”

Malema follows the Marxist playbook, demonizing entire classes of South Africans -- mostly white farmers -- and calling for their deaths. Malema has been chanting “Kill the Boer” at his massive rallies, and his followers are listening; in 2023 alone, there have been 42 murders of white farmers in South Africa -- more than once a week.

Malema also displays the personal hypocrisy typical of Marxists. A multimillionaire who lives in an exclusive community, he is married to a supermodel who dresses in designer fashions; their child attends an exclusive private school; Malema has a fleet of luxury European automobiles at his disposal, and he shops at the world’s most expensive boutiques.

Despite his flagrant hypocrisy and overt calls for genocide, poor Black people in South Africa are flocking to Malema and his EFF. Malema’s party currently holds 44 seats in the South African parliament, and he is predicted to become vice president of the country in the next election. Young people interviewed by the Daily Mail say the same things: They are poor. They are desperate. They will vote EFF because the country’s economy is terrible, and the other parties offer them nothing.

If Malema and the EFF gain control of South Africa, his supporters will be in for a rude awakening.

Those seeking a racially blind political and economic philosophy could find no more perfect example than Marxism. No matter where it has been tried or by whom, regardless of the race or ethnicity or skin color of the leaders, subjects or victims, it has produced exactly the same results: economic collapse, famine, starvation, oppression, widespread imprisonment, human suffering and death on a massive scale:

    -- In Russia and the surrounding countries that comprised the former Soviet Union -- at least 60 million people died due to famines, starvation, civil war, forced relocation, labor camps, imprisonment and execution. 

    -- In Asia -- between 40 million and 80 million Chinese died under Mao Zedong’s communist regime in China, killed by starvation, forced labor or mass executions. The communist Khmer Rouge regime was responsible for the deaths of between 1.5 and 3 million Cambodians, who were killed by disease and starvation in forced labor camps and by widespread executions. In North Korea, another communist dictatorship famine created by the country’s Stalinist economic policies killed between 2.5 million and 3.5 million people in the mid-1990s.

In Latin America -- 65 years of communism in Fidel Castro’s Cuba has left the Caribbean nation economically devastated. Once the wealthiest country in Latin America, Venezuela has been destroyed by the socialist policies of Hugo Chavez and his successor, Nicolas Maduro; 76% of the country now lives in “extreme poverty.” Nearly 8 million people have fled.

In Africa -- communist and socialist regimes in country after country -- Angola, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe -- destroyed agricultural production, exacerbated poverty, and lined the pockets of corrupt dictatorial leaders for life.

Historically, Marxists have exploited preexisting conditions -- poverty, resentment, desperation -- to drum up political support for their movements. Today, however, in the United States (and some Western European countries), the leftists already in control of government are themselves creating the economic disasters that they believe will spur widespread support for Marxist-style regimes. 

America has never really been fertile soil for leftist revolutionaries. Movements for unions and better labor conditions, activists for racial equality and other human rights issues, among others, have certainly had left-leaners among their leaders and in the rank-and-file. But Jacobin-style calls for a proletarian paradise have gotten little traction, not merely because the United States is a country where capitalism flourishes but because it is a country where entrepreneurial capitalism flourishes. The political liberty, economic freedom and individual ethics grounded in Judeo-Christian values produced a country where anyone -- regardless of background, income, station in life -- could come here, start a business and thrive. 

But what we are facing now is the “climate change” grift for leftward drift. “Climate change” policy advocates call for the elimination of private property, single-family homes and ownership of transportation, massive reductions in agricultural and industrial capacity, the complete elimination of oil and gas, and unrestricted global migration from poor countries to wealthy ones, along with confiscatory taxation and mandatory wealth transfers. Oppressive regulation established by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats will place de facto control of the production and distribution of all assets into the hands of a small group of self-appointed elites who -- like all Marxists throughout history -- will be exempt from the privations they impose on everyone else.

The objective is the destruction of Western democracies -- the nation-states that provide their identity and political stability, as well as their (predominantly) free-market economies.

Those seeking the “fundamental transformation” of the United States have figured out that a strong middle class and millions of small business owners provide an almost unbreachable bulwark against the Marxist takeover of America. The only way to achieve their aims is to thwart the possibility of owning one’s own business, make private property legally impossible or prohibitively expensive, and destroy the business owners within the middle and upper-middle classes and thereby destroy those classes themselves. That will collapse the U.S. economy and thrust millions into poverty from which little hope exists.

That is the endgame. That is the climate in which Marxists thrive. That is the consequence that must be avoided at all costs.
