DeSantis’s Latest Attack On Trump Didn’t Go Over So Well With Voters

Attacks between 2024 GOP presidential candidates former President Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) are not slowing down anytime soon.

In the latest series of shots being fired, DeSantis’s campaign posted a controversial video criticizing Trump’s LGBTQ stance.

To wrap up “Pride Month,” let’s hear from the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate it…

As progressives wrap up Pride Month, the governor’s campaign dug up an old video of Trump saying he “will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens.”

The former president’s comments were made at the Republican National Convention in July 2016, following the fatal shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, which left 49 people dead.

The video continued to bash Trump, saying, “Let’s hear from the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate it,” despite using the 45th president’s words out of context for the governor’s benefit.

Trump could be heard saying that he supports allowing former Olympic star turned-transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner to use any restroom he wants if he visits the White House.

On the contrary, as the video ended, DeSantis’s team painted the governor as a “real wolf who has arrived,” comparing him to Tom Cruises’s Top Gun character.

However, the video was met with mixed reviews, claiming DeSantis went too far in attacking his 2024 rival.

I spent the last 7 years of my life working with Trump to make the GOP a more welcoming place for gays WHILE ALSO being anti-groomer, anti-woke and pro religious liberty.

I’ve even worked WITH DeSantis on this agenda.

This is the worst video I have ever seen in my life and who ever is responsible should be fired immediately. The person that posted this tweet should be fired immediately.

Dont think that hit the mark you wanted it too…— WatdoUbelieveN (@watdoubelieven) July 1, 2023

Log Cabin Republican described the video as “divisive and desperate,” adding that “Ron DeSantis’ extreme rhetoric…has just ventured into homophobic territory.”

Another said the video is not a good look for DeSantis’s chances of winning the GOP primary.

“Truly one of the weirdest videos I’ve ever seen a politician put out. Also, splicing images of DeSantis alongside images of shirtless and masked men… does not quite send the anti-LGBTQ message apparently intended,” New York Times reporter Jonathan Swan said.

Since coming onto the scene during the Covid-19 pandemic, DeSantis has pushed back against the Left’s indoctrination of children through its anti-American LGBTQ agenda. He has portrayed himself as the most pro-family Republican leader in the U.S., passing several bills aimed at protecting children and their families from the radial Left.

Trans Biden Official Claims Gov’t Does Not ‘Belong’ In Gender Treatments

The Biden Administration’s transgender health official Rachel Levine argued that government should not have a say in a child’s choice to castrate themselves through the Left’s radical woke push.

During an interview with the Washington Post on health equity “to eliminate barriers to health care,” Levine attacked several Republican-led bills to protect children from being mutilated and brainwashed by the Democratic Party’s progressive agenda.

“Well, it is very challenging for health equity for the LGBTQI+ community, and these politically and ideologically motivated laws and actions are harming youth, particularly transgender youth, their families, and even their providers who are under siege in many parts of this country,” Levine said.

He claimed that the government is interfering with the relationship between so-called “expert” physicians and children.

The transgender said restrictions on gender-affirming care for minors are “challenging for health equity for the LGBTQI+ community,” especially those “harming transgender youth, their families, and even their providers who are under siege in many parts of this country.”

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson mocked the Biden Administration for using Levine as a prop to push their radical agenda, calling him “a fat guy in a Halloween costume who somehow became a federal health minister.”

“]Levine] transitioned later in life into an overweight, middle-aged woman. Both wound up working as high-level officials in the Joe Biden Administration. Their teammates at their all-boys school in Boston probably wouldn’t have protected any of that,” Carlson added.

Earlier this week, Levine called for Pride Month to be extended to a whole “summer of pride” in a video on behalf of the federal government.

At the White House’s largest Pride event, President Joe Biden promised to print more money that will go directly to fund damaging, life-alternating sex-change surgeries for kids.

Here’s One Interesting Aspect About the Failed Anti-Putin Coup

There’s a ton of palace intrigue about the anti-Putin coup last weekend. It lasted 48 hours before it stopped, though not because of anything Vladimir Putin did on his part. He allegedly fled Moscow and had whatever security forces prepared for the city’s defense. Arguably the capital hadn’t been this spooked since Operation Barbarossa.

With Russia’s military at with Ukraine, this would be the opportune time to launch a coup, and Yevgeny Prigozhin decided to roll the dice on June 23. And some of Russia’s top generals and internal security agencies knew it was coming. So, was it a staged coup or an actual one that failed to succeed due to a lack of manpower? The argument for the deafening silence from Putin’s officials who were privy to this mutiny could cut either way: they wanted Putin gone and said nothing, or knew it was a theatrical production (via NYT):

A senior Russian general had advance knowledge of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s plans to rebel against Russia’s military leadership, according to U.S. officials briefed on American intelligence on the matter, which has prompted questions about what support the mercenary leader had inside the top ranks.

The officials said they are trying to learn if Gen. Sergei Surovikin, the former top Russian commander in Ukraine, helped plan Mr. Prigozhin’s actions last weekend, which posed the most dramatic threat to President Vladimir V. Putin in his 23 years in power.

General Surovikin is a respected military leader who helped shore up defenses across the battle lines after Ukraine’s counteroffensive last year, analysts say. He was replaced as the top commander in January but retained influence in running war operations and remains popular among the troops.

American officials also said there are signs that other Russian generals may also have supported Mr. Prigozhin’s attempt to change the leadership of the Defense Ministry by force. Current and former U.S. officials said Mr. Prigozhin would not have launched his uprising unless he believed that others in positions of power would come to his aid.

If General Surovikin was involved in last weekend’s events, it would be the latest sign of the infighting that has characterized Russia’s military leadership since the start of Mr. Putin’s war in Ukraine and could signal a wider fracture between supporters of Mr. Prigozhin and Mr. Putin’s two senior military advisers: Sergei K. Shoigu, the minister of defense, and Gen. Valery V. Gerasimov, the chief of general staff.

Mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin planned to capture Russia’s military leadership as part of last weekend’s mutiny, Western officials said, and he accelerated his plans after the country’s domestic intelligence agency became aware of the plot.

The plot’s premature launch was among the factors that could explain its ultimate failure after 36 hours, when Prigozhin called off an armed march on Moscow that had initially faced little resistance.

Prigozhin originally intended to capture Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Gen. Valery Gerasimov, the chief of Russia’s general staff, during a visit to a southern region that borders Ukraine that the two were planning. But the Federal Security Service, or FSB, found out about the plan two days before it was to be executed, according to Western officials.

Gen. Viktor Zolotov, commander of the National Guard of Russia, a domestic military force that reports directly to President Vladimir Putin, also said authorities knew about Prigozhin’s intentions before he launched his attempt.

“Specific leaks about preparations for a rebellion that would begin between June 22-25 were leaked from Prigozhin’s camp,” Zolotov told state media on Tuesday.

Western intelligence agencies also found out early about the plans by Prigozhin, Putin’s former confidant, by analyzing electronic communications intercepts and satellite imagery, according to a person familiar with the findings. Western officials said they believe the original plot had a good chance of success but failed after the conspiracy was leaked, forcing Prigozhin to improvise an alternative plan.

It’s Russia, folks. It’s secretive to all hell, and we might never know if this rebellion was real. Maybe we’ll know if Prigozhin turns dead in the next few months.

As we’ve covered, Prigozhin isn’t a military man. He’s a jack of all trades, owning various catering businesses and earning the nickname “Putin’s chef.” He also has dabbled in the technology industries; some of his companies executed Kremlin-supported propaganda efforts. And he also commanded the Wagner Group, a reported 25,000-man mercenary army. This force marched from southern Russia, took over some cities, and came less than 200 miles from Moscow. Prigozhin probably didn’t have enough troops to take over the city, so he ordered a withdrawal order on June 24.

The mutiny was initially reported to be over the alleged attack on his forces by Russian military units and the lies used to justify the war in Ukraine. He cloaked his rebellion as a righteous crusade against Russia’s military leadership. However, it was later reported that he was upset that his forces would be absorbed into the Russian military. He was later granted asylum in Belarus and will not be charged for the insurrection.

Another Busload of Illegal Aliens Arrive In Newsom’s Home State

Busloads of illegal aliens arrived in the Democrat-run city of Los Angeles over the weekend as the Biden border crisis continues to plague the country.

According to reports, more than 40 migrants—including 11 children— were bused from Texas immigration facilities following the arrival of the undocumented immigrants.

The liberal city’s government was unaware of a shipment of illegal migrants from South and Central America was unaware.

Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass accused Abbott of “using human beings as pawns in his cheap political games.”

“Los Angeles is not a city motivated by hate or fear, and we absolutely will not be swayed or moved by petty politicians playing with human lives,” Bass said.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) launched a migrant busing program in 2022 to combat the president’s open border policies’ devastating effects on the U.S.— which has brought deadly drugs such as fentanyl and human trafficking into the nation.

Texas has bused over 23,500 migrants to sanctuary cities to relieve overrun border towns:

Over 10,100 to DC
Over 8,500 to NYC
Over 3,000 to Chicago
Over 1,700 to Philadelphia
Over 200 to Denver
Over 40 to LA

“Texas’ small border towns remain overwhelmed and overrun by the thousands of people illegally crossing into Texas from Mexico because of President Biden’s refusal to secure the border,” Abbott said. “Los Angeles is a major city that migrants seek to go to, particularly now that its city leaders approved its self-declared sanctuary city status.”

Abbott has also sent busloads of migrants to other liberal cities such as Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia. The governor claims more than 23,000 illegal migrants have been bused out of Texas.

Last month, a plane of migrants showed up unannounced in Sacramento. Despite Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) vowing to welcome illegal immigrants with open arms, the Democrat condemned Republican leaders for sending migrants to his turf.

Tens of thousands of migrants still threaten a humanitarian crisis in the U.S.

Biden officials have touted a decline in migrants crossing into the country illegally. Still, the heaping amount of illegal migrants that U.S. officials have been tracking in northern Mexico haven’t turned back.

Biden’s new border asylum policies may have quieted things briefly, but the U.S.- Mexico border is still bursting at the seams.

However, despite harsh backlash from Democrats, Republicans are merely responding to the surge in illegal immigration caused by the Left.

Some of These Reactions to the Affirmative Action Ruling Are Getting Ugly

The reactions to the affirmative action ruling from the Supreme Court were bound to get ugly. It’s a cycle of whining we’ve all come to know from the Left when they don’t get their way, and this week was a brutal one for progressives in America. From this ruling on college admissions to Joe Biden not being able to cancel student debt unilaterally, the Left learned that Biden isn’t a king.

While liberal America’s initial reactions to the affirmative action ruling will undoubtedly be centered on how Justice Clarence Thomas is evil, how we’re veering back toward pre-Civil War times, how the GOP is racist, and how the Supreme Court is illegitimate because they handed down a decision we didn’t like; it’s children’s hour. But a nasty war within America’s minority communities is about to erupt between blacks and Asians. It’s the issue that splinters these voting blocs, and it’s best to let these two sides duke it out, vent, and take swings at one another because it won’t be pretty. And yes, some Asian progressives will hurl grenades into their own tent, accusing ‘Fellow Yellows’ of siding with white supremacy if they agree with the Court’s decision.
